We present you the lookbook of the _NV_S_BL_ (Invisible) Tailors Spring 2009 collection. The brand launched with the Fall 2008 collection that is getting into stores very soon, here you see now what comes next.
The Canadian brand exclusively works with leather and presents a wide range of pieces for both men and women. There are several stand-out pieces in the new collection, but the biking jacket (here above) has to be one of our favorite.
We have so far not seen the product live, but our expectations are high.

We take a quick look at the upcoming Ransom Fall/Winter ‘08 collection. The Canadian brand has nicely evolved and continues to build the line with quality pieces always with a bit of heritage influence. Find in the new collection leather down jackets, plaid lining in both jackets and pants, plaid 5-panel caps, selvedge denim and more. Pics via Matt George.

Since its first collection was released last year, the Canadian brand Ransom has become a favorite. Classics are nicely re-interpreted with new materials and functionality. The line stays subtle, but is not boring.
That also seems to be the case with their upcoming Fall ‘08 collection. Matt George gives us a first look at some key pieces, including a nice hunting jacket with matching pants, a quilted shirt and also their first move into luggage.

Our very good friends at INQMND in Canada have a photo essay and interview with NOMAD’s Zeb Munir, Matthew George, and Jesar  Gabino. "It was in 2005 when Zeb Munir and partner’s Matthew George and Jesar Gabino opened up the doors to Nomad. A fresh breath of air for high-end fashion in Toronto and a calculated risk for this large, yet small market. But a risk nonetheless, it’s not far fetched to say, ‘they done did it again’."
INQMND’s layout and presentation is simply gorgeous. A must read.

Jeff Hamade interviews SheOne during his stay last year in Canada. They talk about hispainting styles as well as his inspirations. Also it is very interesting seeing SheOnepaint one of his pieces from start to finish. Check out the video here below.

Canadian stores Livestock have released new New Era caps. The “LS” New Era cap is available in all their stores as well as online. The “TO” are exclusives for their Toronto store. Both styles come in a range of colorways in limited quantity.

Devilock from Japan got together once again with Subdivision from Vancouver and worked with their in-house label Division. This time they worked on a full zip parka. It comes in two colorways. The hoodies feature several prints on the front and the back as well as on the sleeves and have a heavy weight gold 2way gold zipper.
The hoodies are part of the 11th anniversary collection of Devilock and are limited to 20 pieces in each color. Check them out in detail after the jump.

Inquiring Mind has released their latest feature – Focus. As usual the Canadian online magazine does an outstanding job in terms of presentation. Focus is a feature on up and coming amateur photographers. They present works by the artists and also have background features and interviews on the people included. A must see feature!

With the Fall/Winter 2007 collection Ransom has nicely introduced itself as one of the more mature and quality brands in our market, something many had been waiting for. Going into their second season, the now present some pieces out of the Spring/Summer 2008 collection, that will be hitting stores in a couple of months.
The Ransom Spring/Summer ‘08 collection consists of a nice range of t-shirts, shirts, shorts, chinos as well as some accessories. Just like the first time around, the collection is entirely cut & sew and the quality very good. We look forward for the launch of the new collection of the Canadian brand. Pics via Matt George.

In terms of retail outlets Stussy has always been very prominent in Japan, with overall 48 flagship stores. Always impressive to hear that number. But in 2007 and continuing in 2008 the brand his also increasing their presence on their home market again. Just recently we reported about the Stussy Hawaii flagship store, opened with Jules Gayton of Leilow.
2008 will see another few interesting openings by the brand. The next one to follow is Washington and who else could they have teamed up with, but with Commonwealth owner Omar Quiambao. Not only will they open a Stussy Chapter Store soon, they will also open For The Greater Good, a more mature store for customers that have gotten too old for the Commonwealth brand range. More information once we get closer to the opening.
Also in the next couple of months, we will see the opening of the first Stussy flagship store in Canada. It’s actually surprising that it took so long. The Toronto store will be opened and managed by Matt George, owner of the Goodfoot chain, Nomad and Ransom. Yet another perfect candidate and for sure we will see interesting collaborations from this new partnership.
We hope that Stussy will also start making some more moves in Europe, but for now its the North American turn! Via DNR.
