While at (capsule) Paris this past weekend, we had a chance to catch up with UK-based stylist Stephen Mann. Wearing goods from Arc’teyrx Veilance and visvim, Stephan has fine taste and is definitely a stylist to keep your eye on.

Today we walked through the latest edition of the Capsule Paris tradeshow. As always we come across a lot of familiar faces and brands during these days. The show has grown from a small get together into a powerhouse and it is nice seeing them continue to progress. In general one can certainly say, that the hardcore heritage looks are also over at Capsule, yet you of course have certain uniform styles that are most present.

For inspiration purposes these industry get togethers are always great, because you get to see what people in our field actually wear. Take a look at some people and their styles that we came across today.

This week the news have finally leaked - (capsule) tradeshow will come for the first time to Berlin this summer. After having started in New York, capsule now runs shows also in Las Vegas and Paris. Berlin was a logical next step, as the German capital has built a strong fashion market over the years with industry heavy weights such as Bread & Butter already being there. It will be interesting to see what brands the show attracts. capsule Berlin will be on July 7th and 8th at Alte Munze.

(capsule) trade show has teamed up with Moleskine, purveyor of quality notebooks, to create a limited edition book for (capsule) exhibitors and members of the show’s Advisory Board. Showcasing one-hundred and thirty of the world’s most sought after designers, (capsule) New York takes place this Monday and Tuesday the 18th and 19th. For those in town, there’s also something called the Neighborhood Network going on with Superfuture – two days of sales and in-store events with everyone from Rogan to Opening Ceremony. Kiks TYO will be kicking off their store collaboration series beginning of October. They got together with Limited Edt Singapore and with Capsule Toronto on a Yuko Ishida x Kiks TYO t-shirt. Each store added their own flavor to it. On the Limited Edt. t-shirt, Yuko Ishida is wearing the Limited Edt x New Balance sneaker that recently came out and on the Capsule t-shirt, Yuko Ishida is wearing a Capsule branded bikini.

Both the Kiks TYO x Yuko Ishida x Limited Edt and the Kiks TYO x Yuko Ishida x Capsule t-shirt will be released at the stores on October 3rd.

It seems like Cliché, the French skateboard company, does not want to stop celebrating their 10th anniversary. It started out last year with an extensive Nike SB collaboration. Then they presented a Estevan Oriol capsule collection.
Later this year the brand will continue the celebrations by releasing a capsule collection as part of their Spring/Summer ‘08 collection, designed by their close friend Mark Gonzales. The collection is pretty complete and consists of decks, t-shirts, jackets, caps and accessories.

Available the mid of this month, Swagger unveils its third capsule collection created with rapper Lupe Fiasco. Dubbed “F.O.R” or “Fall of Rome,” the collection showcases the evolving style of both the brand and the rapper, over a deluxe stadium jacket, denim, backpack, sunglasses and more. Incorporating a monogram motif of Lupe’s own design, the monogram is featured throughout the garments, and makes its way onto a small accessories range as well; a wallet, passport case, card case and coin purse.

“This whole collection is about love,” says Lupe of the range. “That’s why I used the hearts. The saying on the back pocket of the jeans says ‘If falling in love means a fall from grace, then count me among the fallen,’ to represent how we sometimes sacrifice a lot for the sake of being in love.” The collection will be available at St. Alfred(Chicago), Patta (Amsterdam) and choiceisyours.jp.
