After having released a solid collaborative Capsule Collection for Fall/Winter 2011, Carhartt x uniform experiment are back together again on another set of goods for Spring/Summer 2012. The collection consists of revamped Carhartt pants, chambray shirts and a tote bag, all featuring special detailing and accents. Hitting uniform experiment shops in Japan in the coming weeks, and hopefully worldwide soon after.

By now a staple release for many brands, Carhartt is offering their take on the “Military Watch” for Spring 2012. Finished in black brushed steel the watch features a black face with white detailing and includes two nylon straps. Available through Carthartt WIP dealers shortly.

After presenting the Carhartt Spring/Summer 2012 Lookbook earlier, we now take a look at the Carhartt Heritage line for the new season. Here we present our two favorite piece from the collection, including the State Coat and the Settler Jacket, both coming in beautiful classic camouflage patterns this season. They come with special Heritage tags and a slightly washed out effect, perfeclty working on the duck canvas used by the brand.

Today we present the new Carhartt WIP Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. Started in Europe, the WIP line has now made it finally into the US as well, celebrated with the opening of their new New York City flagship store.

If we are not mistaken, this marks the first collection, where the ‘Work In Progress’ name is being communicated so openly, which is an interesting move in ensuring that it is not being mixed up with the original US Carhartt workwear line. The Spring/Summer 2012 Collection sports some great basics in the field of shirting, outerwear, denim, pants, and of course also comes again with a full accessories offering.

We have previewed already the Holiday 2011 A.P.C. x Carhartt Capsule Collection and have also produced an in-house shoot for the occasion of this team-up. The line has finally released in retail today and we came across one item that we did not show you yet – the utility key. The stainless steel key is a 6-in-1 multifunction tool, including a bottle opener, miniatures serrated and straight knife blades, and three screwdrivers (phillips, flat and micro-eyeglass). The collaborative logo has been applied on the utility key and the wooden box that it comes in.

With the release of the next collaboration between Carhartt and A.P.C. being just around the corner, we take another look at this second collaboration between the two brands. This time the two brands present two jackets, including a varsity jacket, some shirts, as well as some t-shirts, all coming with the double branding that was introduced already in their first collaborative capsule collection last season. The line is getting to stores December 15th, 2011.

After having released in September in Japan, the Carhartt x uniform experiment Capsule Collection will see a select global release this week. The collection consists of a new take on a Carhartt hunting coat, The Acrylic watch beanie, the Bronco pant, the Double knee pant and the Carhartt vest. Each piece comes with a series of nice details added by the Japanese brand, including prints, special materials and more.

Selected Carhartt stores around the globe will have the line in stock from this week.

The excitement is great for the opening of the first Carhartt Work In Progress store in the US. Today the store on Crosby Street will be officially opening its doors, releasing among other things, some special fragment design collaboration products.

Yesterday we had the chance to check out the new retail space in Soho. Carhartt did a great job with the built-out, presenting a look that is both true to their brand, yet also up to date with today’s world. A mix of vintage signs, beautiful wooden floors and furniture nicely presents the full collection of the Carhartt WIP brand. Make sure to check it out on your next New York trip.

The previously announced Carhartt WIP flagship store New York will be opening its doors on October 27th, on Crosby Street. The Carhartt Work In Progress collection was until recently exclusive to the European and Asian markets and now finally makes its way home into the US market.

For the second time Carhartt and Burton get together and present their latest collaborative outerwear for Fall/Winter 2011-2012. Once again the technical performance of Burton is merged with utility-driven workwear looks from Carhartt. This season they present a jacket and matching pants, coming in the signature Carhartt duck canvas color, yet featuring a double layer Gore-Tex Performance Oxford shell. The jacket is modeled after the the Carhartt ‘Traditional’ jacket and the pants after the ‘Single Knee’ pants.

Available in either brown or black, the jackets and pants are available from today at Carhartt stores and select retailers.

After years of complaining that the Carhartt streetwear division from Europe was not selling in the US market, we have seen a slow but steady move into the US market over the last year. Licensed by Work In Progress in Europe, it took a different direction from the US division, establishing the Carhartt brand in Europe as a fashionable streetwear line.

The European collection will now finally make a proper move into the US market. Today Carhartt Europe announced the opening of a New York flagship store by the end of October 2011. A location has not been announced yet, but we will keep you posted!

For Fall/Winter 2011 Carhartt got together with outdoor brand Salewa on a sleeping bag. The super light-weight sleeping bag is breathable and has great insulation and is based on the Salewa Sigma Flex 1 model. It is 190cm long and can be used for temperaturs between -15 and +5 degrees celcius. It comes in a military green colorway with camouflage lining and features the Carhartt script logo on the front. The sleeping bag is now available in stores and online.

Having first worked together in 2008, Burton and Carhartt align once again for a fresh snowboard-meets-workwear jacket. Featuring 2L GORE-TEX construction, the jacket will keep you much drier than your average duck twill. Available in stores on October 1, 2011.
