Land Rover will be unveiling its Range Rover Evoque Convertible Concept car at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show coming up in March. The premium convertible SUV combines versatility with overall capability. It look really sporty and seems like it would be a blast to drive, but as of now, there’s no production plans. Inside, the concept is packed with the Range Rover Evoque’s award winning technology including Terrain Response, surround cameras, an 8-inch touch screen and a sound system from British audio experts, Meridian. The Range Rover Evoque Convertible Concept features unique 21-inch Titan silver wheels and is finished in a new metallic Causeway Grey paint.The interior is in Lunar and Ivory with leather seats featuring sporty perforated panels and Ivory contrast stitching.

Last year Jay-Z and Kanye West destroyed an amazingly expensive Maybach in the Spike Jonze-directed video for their Grammy Award-winning song “Otis”.” Now the duo are auctioning off that decimated car for charity. The vehicle will sell at Phillips de Pury auction house in New York on March 8, 2012 with proceeds going towards Save The Children. The 2004 Maybach 56 expected to sell for between $100,000 and $150,000, much less than its original sticker price of $350,000.

We present to you the next feature from our most recent print issue. After first having published the Zombie Boy in Acronym spread the other week, we continue today with our ‘DRIVERS’ story.

In our DRIVERS spread we managed to bring together two legends – the Stuck family and the iconic race track Nurburgring in Germany. Hans-Joachim Stuck, father of the family, won the 24 hour race on the track in 1970, as a 19 year old. Throughout his career he competed in many different categories, including the Formula One. His two sons, also featured, today try to step in the shoes of their father and are already competing in the GT3 championship. Having the three of them race on the Nurburgring Nordschleife in the Audi R8 Spyder GT and Lamborghini Superlegera Spyder was a match made in heaven, caught on camera for us by photographer Christian Brecheis.

Aston Martin’s V8 Vantage model is no stranger to the car market. Debuting in 2005 and now 7 years strong Aston Martin has now decided to revisit the car. In comparison to its preceder, drivers now have the option of choosing the seven-speed Sportshift II sequential transmission from the Vantage S instead of six-speed Sportshift. Many more additions have been made and the car will be unveiled at the upcoming Geneva Motorshow confirmed only for UK and European release for the time being..

The Audi RS 5 features a high-revving 4.2-liter V8 with 450 horsepower and a seven-speed S tronic transmission with launch control program. An innovative crown-gear center differential in the quattro drivetrain transmits power to all four wheels, providing exceptional traction and grip for increased performance.

Ahead of its Geneva Auto Show debut, Bugatti previews the new Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, which will be one of the most powerful street cars to ever be produced.

“With an increase in power up to 1,200 HP, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse has
entered a new dimension of open-top driving. Optically aligned to the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, which holds the current world speed record of 431 km/h, the Vitesse also impresses with its dynamic driving characteristics.

Bugatti’s engineers have developed the current Grand Sport, with its 1,001 HP and 1,250 Nm, into an even more powerful vehicle. The Vitesse’s maximum torque is now an impressive 1,500 Nm. The increased power of the new roadster’s 16-cylinder engine is made possible by the four enlarged turbochargers and intercoolers. The chassis has also been modified to support the power increase.”

After just recently presenting the new Mercedes-Benz SL roadster, the new high performance version of the sports car, the SL 63 AMG, is also ready for the road.

The new version of the high-performance roadster impresses on several counts: lightweight construction, a boost in output and driving dynamics, and 30 percent lower fuel consumption and emissions. Thanks to an all-aluminium bodyshell, similar to that of the SLS AMG super sports car, the SL 63 AMG weight has been reduced by 125 kilograms. With a weight of 1845 kilograms and an output of 537 hp, the new model will no doubt impress. A further boost in performance comes courtesy of a winning combination: enhanced AMG sports suspension based on Active Body Control (ABC), new AMG speed-sensitive sports steering, the AMG high-performance compound brake system and the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission.

The new Mercedes-Benz SL 63 AMG will be launched in May 2012, with prices starting at 160′000 Euros.

Today Ferrari teases us with a new video. On February 29th, the Italian car maker will be announcing the most powerful Ferrari that has ever been built. Obviously it will be a V12, but much more we do not know yet.

Five years on, the Maserati GranTurismo sees a Sport restyling that stresses its sporty nature and increased performance. New aggressive lines on the front bumper and rear optimize both airflow and aesthetics, while an upgraded 4.7 liter V8 engine now delivers 460 Hp. The car will officially debut at the Geneva Autoshow this week.

The Porsche Macan is coming. What’s in a name you ask? Macan is derived from the Indonesian word for tiger and combines suppleness, power, fascination and dynamics – core characteristics of the new off-road car. Looks like a fun drive.
