Karl Lagerfeld has been spotted for a while with a Chanel iPad case, but it has never been available at retail. That is about to change, as the case has made it into the Spring/Summer 2012 Pre-Collection of the French luxury brand. Not only does the case come with the signature Chanel quilted lambskin upper, it can also house not one, but two iPhones along with the iPad. Look out for it at stores now.

Sip Chat Chow created a fun series of ‘Cereal Couture’, turning the most normal breakfast food into luxury items. The series includes the Burberry Flakes, Cartier Crunch, Gucci Loops, Chanel Cocos and Louis Vuitton Charms. All in all the cereal boxes are well executed and mix the iconic logos and patterns of the respective brand’s with traditional breakfast cereal design.

Artist Retna was recently commissioned by Chanel to paint their Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, flagship store in Los Angeles. The artist added his iconic graphics to the entrance and interior of the store. We especially like the tonal black paint that was applied to the black entrance wall, setting a nice but subtle accent.

Celebrating ONLY WATCH 2011, Chanel has released a unique model of the J12 Diver timepiece. “The case, in sand-blasted black ceramic and 18kt rose gold, measures 38mm. It has a sapphire crystal and is water resistant to 300 meters. Movement is a Swiss automatic (base ETA) with a power reserve of 42 hours.”

“The Tale Of A Fairy” is Karl Lagerfeld’s new Chanel Cruise 2012 Film featuring Amanda Harlech, Kristen McMenamy, Freja Beha, Bianca Balti, Baptiste Giabiconi, Brad Koening, Jake Davies, Mark Vanderloo, Oriol Elcacho, Sebastien Jondeau, Seth Kuhlmann and the film star – Anna Mouglalis.

When it comes to these kinds of projects nobody can mess with Parisian concept store colette. Just a couple of weeks ago Nike presented its new French Away Team Kit, paying homage to the iconic white/navy striped pattern, made famous as well by designers such as Jean-Paul Gaultier. I think we can all agree that the jersey came out very nice.

With The Away Project, colette is celebrating the Away Kit by bringing on collaborators from all sorts of areas, presenting their product also with the “mariniere” striped pattern. Included in the line-up of collaborations is a watch with Swatch, pen with Montblanc, perfume with Comme des Garcons, bag with Longchamp and Chanel, scarf with Hermes, macarons with Laduree, cosmetics with YSL and more.

colette will setup a fully striped corner on their 1st floor on March 28th and the project runs until April 9th.

Today, French artist So Me marked the latest artist to take over the customization portion of the Chanel x colette Pop-Up Shop in Paris. Brazilian model Isabeli Fontana even stopped by to get her very own So Me x Chanel bag. See many more images of different custom bags and event attendees in our gallery. “Come on, it’s only Chanel.”

Today we had a chance to visit the opening of the Chanel Pop-Up shop hosted in collaboration with colette. On display were an assortment of classic Chanel products, such as quilted bags, leather gloves and various apparel. Guests were treated to cupcakes, and artist Kevin Lyons, who recent held an exhibition at the shop, was on hand customizing bags and adding Chanel influenced imagery to the space. Overall an impressive event with many more to follow. The pop-up store is also located close to the colette store, so make sure to pass by.

Chanel was without a doubt the one brand to make the use of ceramic popular a few years ago, when introducing the J12 watch. In the mean time the black and white ceramic versions of the watch have been a huge success and in time for Basel World the brand is about to introduce a very interesting new version of the watch – the J12 Ceramic Titanium. More masculine in looks, the watch comes in a steel grey colorway, with all parts being made of ceramic and titanium.
