Inspired by the pursuits of the British sportsman, the “Golfito” is a nice and clean low top sneaker with wingtip details on the upper in a two-tone calf leather design. After releasing earlier this season in a leopard pony fur version, Christian Louboutin presents this week the black calf leather version of its studded Cris iPad Case from their Spring 2012 Collection. A couple of months ago we visited the first ever Christian Louboutin men’s store, which opened its doors September 2011. Today WWD announces that the designer will be opening the second store dedicated solely to his men’s shoe and sneaker collection in New York City.

The store will be located in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District, on Washington Street between Horatio Street and Gansevoort Street, and next to the Whitney Museum of American Art construction site.

We cannot really believe it, but it looks like Monsieur Louboutin knows how to go low profile too. After studs, metallic leathers, animal furs and the likes, the latest men’s sneaker to release for Spring 2012 is the very simple and premium Christian Louboutin Nono Flat. The mid top sneaker comes in a black jazz calf leather version, sitting on a white outer sole. All in all simple and solid.

We present two new styles from the Christian Louboutin Spring 2012 Men’s Footwear Collection. The popular Roller Boat slip-on comes in a new metallic silver colorway with studs all over. We get a first look at some of the men’s sneaker styles from Christian Louboutin for Spring/Summer 2012. In case you thought the designer would go a more subtle route, you were wrong… thing look to be even more colorway and crazy than in his previous collections. Previewed here are the No Limit Men’s Flat (seen above), Mickael Flat and Louis Strass Men’s Flat. The No Limit comes with metal spikes, rhinestones, zebra fur and a mix of colors, while the Mickael Flat comes in an acqua suede version and the Louis Strass with an all-over rhinestone design. We are curious to see how long Louboutin will be successful with these ‘crazy’styles for men.

We present you the latest men’s sneakers to come from the Christian Louboutin Holiday 2011 Collection. Just recently we showed you the new men’s boutique that the designer opened in Paris during fashion week.

In the coming week some of his most popular sneaker styles will drop in new colorways. The Alfie Flat comes in a brown/leopard version, the Rantus Orlato sneaker will drop in two suede/glittery versions and the Louis Strass comes with a colorful all over rhinstone decoration, mixed with purple velour. As usual the offering is not exactly subtle and certainly not for many, but that is what Louboutin fans are looking for.

This week shoemaker Christian Louboutin will be officially opening the Christian Louboutin Homme boutique in Paris. Having started with mens shoes only in 2008, his creations have quickly become successful among men, and therefore the opening of this first flagship store, entirely dedicated to his men’s range of footwear certainly seems to make sense.

While the interior is still very Louboutin, meaning to some degree old school chic and over the top, the overall atmosphere is more modern than in his women’s boutiques around the globe. Nice details include studs on the shoe presentation trays, leather walls, beautiful floor tiling and some nice design objects, such as a bill skull and a neon sign. The store is located right next to the Louboutin women’s boutique in the French capital and offers the full range of men’s shoes and sneakers.

Christian Louboutin introduces a new high top men’s sneaker for Fall/Winter 2011. The Alfie Flat comes in two colorways for Fall 2011, featuring mixed leather uppers and a strap on the heel. The lacing was inspired by the hiking boot, a common feature these days in the sneaker market. While the above black/gold colorway can still be considered subtle, the designer also offers a red/blue/gold version with multicolor glitter applied on most of the upper.

Here comes the latest version of the popular Christian Louboutin Rollerboy Spike. This time the slip-on shoe features a classic English tartan cloth upper and of course the usual all over studs. It is always interesting seeing these counter acting trends in fashion. When most brands are more on a subtle/classic trip, the ones going strongly against the trend will also succeed. At least Louboutin does not play around or shy away and goes the whole 100 yards.
