Clientele "Point & Shoot" Collection

Clientele has released the “Point & Shoot” Collection today, which focuses on two of music‘s greatest photographers of all time. The Collection shows images by Lee Jaffe and Adrian Boot. The first being of a young Michael Jackson’s first visit to Jamaica and Lee “Scratch” Perry. The Jackson shirt will be available in 5 colorways and the Lee Perry n 4 colorways; both limited to 72 pieces.

“Lee Jaffe was blessed with the art gene in the same way he was blessed with being in the right place at the right time. Jaffe first met Bob Marley in New York City in 1973, Marley had reached fame in Jamaica, but was little known in the US. Their friendship solidified quickly resulting in Jaffe becoming the harmonica player for the Wailers. This new position with Marley’s Band gave Jaffe a front row seat to Marley’s growth to fame in the US and the entire world. He was able to catalog those years through an array of vivid photographs. His connection to reggae grew later producing Peter Tosh’s “Legalize It,” even contributing the legendary cover photograph.

Adrian Boot is a photographer with being in the right place consistently figure out, he puts himself there. Adrian’s true gift is his eye for the shot. Whether it be taking shots of the Sex Pistols in London, Marley in Jamaica, Nelson Mandela in South Africa, Roger Waters at the Berlin Wall, The Grateful Dead in Egypt, and Green Peace in the Soviet Union, Adrian’s eye finds an epic piece of art.”

The tees are now available here.

Sizzla Kalonji x Clientele

Sizzla Kalonji is not only one of Reggae music’s top recording artists he is a living legend; responsible for reintroducing spirituality and social consciousness back into reggae music. Sizzla has transcended music bounds through Reggae, R&B, and Hip-Hop even landing a spot on the once great Roc-A-Fella Records and now owning Kalonji Records.

In the 1980’s Reggae took on a new style known as dancehall this new style brought with it guns, drugs, and crime. During this time Sizzla was trying to find his musical voice. Being a true believer of the Rastafarian movement he began creating his own sound, using it as a vehicle to spread his message. He felt it necessary to adapt roots Reggae to dancehall staying true to his faith yet relevant in modern culture.

Clientele has teamed up with Sizzla Kalonji to deliver a very special collaboration based on following your true path. They will be releasing a t-shirt in 5 different colorways available exclusively on the Clientele Online Store, January 14, 2010.
