Hong Kong-based Clot will be opening the second chapter of their Juice boutique in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In Clot tradition, the event will include an exclusive product release, in this case, a T-shirt featuring a highly pixelated image of Michael Jackson, and a red Clot x Juice logo trucker cap.

The grand opening ceremony takes place on June 20th at 3pm, where Clot owners Edison Chen, Kevin Poon and special guest Sam Lee will join Juice KL local partner Edwin Choong (of Sole What) to usher in prosperity with a traditional Chinese lion dance performance. The goods will be available for purchase after 5pm, where the general public will be allowed into the store. After that, the celebrations continue with an afterparty at Zouk Club KL.

Well, most of you know by now that Edison Chen from CLOT Hong Kong was involved in a celebrity sex scandal. The scandal had huge consequences for the young actor and singer and now he steps for the first time in front of the camera to talk about it. Two interesting announcements are coming from the CLOT collective from Hong Kong. The collective is expanding their retail offering and will soon open a Juice store in Kuala Lumpur, the second location after Hong Kong.

In other news, Edison Chen is for the first time back in front of the camera after his sex scandal last year. After over 1000 nude pictures had turned up, that the actor supposedly took of other stars in the Hong Kong entertainment business, he had to get out of Hong Kong and even deal with death threats. Edison was interviewed by CNN Talk Asia and talked about the scandal, as well as its consequences for him and his family. The interview will be available to see online as of tomorrow here.

Hong Kong’s CLOT brand has come out with some new product from their Spring/Summer 2009 CLOTone Collection. The release this weekend includes their new home mats, cotton pants, shorts, windbreakers, as well as several mesh caps. All pieces come in a variety of colorways and can be purchased at Juice.

2009, Juice, the store run by the CLOT crew in Hong Kong, is celebrating its 5th anniversary. For the occasion CLOT once again got together with Levi’s and with Kazuki to present the 505 Gold KzKlot denim. We already presented the denim to you later week, here now a more detailed look.

The denim will be released on May 15th at Juice, and will be going for a retail price of HK$4180.

After the platinum version last month, CLOT once again worked with Kazuki and Levi’s on a pair f denim. This time the Levi’s 505 Denim comes with gold customizations, logo placements and details. The denim features several logo placements and tags, including the most prominent gold CLOT logo print on the back pocket. Also the denim features gold rivets, zippers and buttons. They used gold thread denim, meaning that when the denim is being used, the gold color will appear. Images via Kevin Poon.

Today we can give you a first detailed look at the new CLOT Spring/Summer 2009 “CLOTone” Collection. The line plays with different themes, each featuring clothes of different styles, silhouettes and colors.

“There are 5 tiers under CLOTone collection. Each color evicts a different emotion, i.e. Earth, Power, Playful, Pure and Dark. All these tiers are actually the extension of a style of a person. Thus, CLOT decided to make clothes with colors and designs and silhouettes that matched the corresponding emotion. So for EARTH we have some jungle safari shirts, for POWER we have some nice dress shirts that are more formal and elegant, DARK we have Terror Parka, with a darker side, the more mysterious and evil side, PLAYFUL is like the FDC. LOT Jacket, the clothes are more colorful and the actual designs are quite irregular and fun, PURE clothing is sleek simple and basic. So depending what kind of person u are, or how you feeling that day CLOTONE lets u choose how to speak without speaking, and that is the message you give off with the clothes you wear.”

In terms of quality, CLOT also raised the bar this season, with all t-shirts being made in Japan. Compared to last season the new line is definitely a step in the right direction, featuring many nice shirts and technical jackets, as well as some interesting accessories.

Juice Hong Kong will be releasing the new collection some time late April.

The much anticipated CLOT x Kazuki x Levi’s Platinum KzKlot 505 Denim is about to be released and so we can finally give you a detailed look.

Artist Kazuki has worked on many high profile collaborative projects over the years. He has worked for Fragment Design, with A Bathing Ape on the Superstar Ape, on the Neighborhood aZX Project, with iDiom, Number (N)ine, Resonate and many others. The project with CLOT thus only came natural. The collaboration between the two is clearly indicated in the name of the denim – KzKlot.

The denim features silk accents, platinum CLOT logo prints on the back pocket and the leg. The CLOT Royale Silk was applied in a similar way, like we have seen already on previous CLOT x Levi’s projects.

The denim will be released in April 10th at Juice in Hong Kong.

The much anticipated collaboration of Levi’s, CLOT and Kazuki 505 denim will soon be released. Here we get a first better look at the denim via Cooltrans Magazine. The denim is slightly destructed and features on the back pocket instead of the Fenom logo, the CLOT logo as a print. The CLOT logo is also printed further down very small. Also CLOT placed their signature fabric on the wrap at the bottom. Otherwise you find all the usual details, including the side zipper, selvedge on the back pocket and more. Look out for these to release soon.
