A couple of weeks ago, CLOT releases a very simple and classic version of the Tennis Classic in collaboration with Nike. Later this month, they are back with something a little more special – we present the Museum AC TZ Tennis Classic. Coming in a beautiful wood and glass bix, the entire sneaker features a metallic silver upper, with accents set in CLOT’s signature red color. 1 in 5 pairs gets further customized by the CLOT crew, where they get a bit more of a used look.

The CLOT x Nike Museum AC TZ Tennis Classic will release at Juice Hong Kong on February 22nd.

CLOT continues to work with Japanese artist Madsaki on their Alienegra design pieces. For Spring 2012 they have also brought Brooklyn artist Kaws into the mix and he added his signature cross eye ‘X’ design to the existing design by Madsaki, resulting in a very vibrant overall look. The parka hoodie will be released on February 10th, 2012, at Juice stores.

Celebrating the new Year of the Dragon, CLOT has teamed up with MINDstyle on a new Mickey Mouse vinyl toy. The ‘Mickey Silk’ sees the iconic Disney character stand in its usual pose, while wearing a signature CLOT silk top. Further branding of the collaboration has been placed on the bottom of the feet of the toy.

The 7 Inch figure will see an official release on January 20th, 2012.

Starting off the new year strong, Hong Kong’s CLOT got together with Nike on a nice and clean version of the Tennis Classic. The low top sneaker comes in an off-white suede with red leather Swoosh and heel tab, which also features the CLOT logo, just like the in-sole does. An official release for the sneaker is scheduled for January 20th, 2012.

In time for Christmas CLOT gets together once again with Medicom Toy and presents two new fruity toys. As part of this release they present the Melon and Pineapple 1000% Bearbricks. Priced at 410 USD a piece, the Juice Hong Kong store will be releasing the toys on December 16th, 2011.

In an interesting collaboration, Hong Kong brand CLOT has gotten together with Moleskine. They designed one of the classic Moleskine notebooks, inspired by their Chinese heritage. Both the exterior color, as well as the pages inside the notebook have their own very unique design elements. This is without a doubt one of the most interesting collaborations to come from CLOT in recent months.

For Fall/Winter 2011 CLOT announces a collaborative capsule collection with Parisian brand Kitsune. Bridging CLOT’s signature street style with a more contemporary menswear approach from Kitsune, this new capsule marks a more sophisticated offering than CLOT’s usual, street-centric designs. Taking inspiration from the styles of the 1960s and 1970s, cut-and-sew garments are outfitted in vibrant blue and pink hues with vintage detailing and modern cuts.

Key items from the line include a tonal blue Army Jacket with subtle cream details and two multi-colored selections, including a Dress Shirt and Oxford Shirt, each highlighted by the use of color blocking throughout. Complimenting the garments will be a pair of vintage style sunglasses developed by both parties, which match the entire aesthetic of this exciting collection.

CLOT will be opening a special pop-up shop at JUICE on October 6th, running through November 5th, 2011. The store will carry a vintage theme inspired by the 50s. In addition, there will be a party opening night at Fly Club. Kitsune designers Masaya Kuroki and Gildas Loaec will be in attendance, with Gildas guest DJ’ing on the ones and twos.

In time for the Fall 2011 Back To School launch, CLOT and Herschel Supply Co. present a backpack collaboration. CLOT chose some nice colorways for the mid-size Herschel backpack, adding their signature silk lining to it as well. The black and red colorways of the backpack release on September 16th and the gold colorway will drop on September 23rd, 2011, at Juice in Hong Kong.

For Fall/Winter 2011 CLOT gets together with Converse on the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star Low. As part of the collaboration, the sneaker is offered up in two colorways, using suede and canvas on the upper, tonal branding on the tongue and heel, resulting in overall very clean looking and easy to wear sneakers. The simplicity of these is almost unexpected by CLOT, who are known for their mostly more attention seeking designs in the past.

You have to love or hate CLOT for these kind of things. As they continue to work with Disney on various projects, Mickey Mouse is at the moment the core theme, as we have seen with the Travelling Mickey Exhibition.

In terms of product, you will see the release of the new CLOT Dynasty ‘Mickey Mouse Patch’ Denim this week. Featuring overall 11 patches, all with the iconic cartoon character, as well as a large print on the back, along with added studs and embroidery details, we can safely say that much more would not have fitted onto the jeans. CLOT will release them on August 6th, 2011.

CLOT and Dickies team up on two t-shirt designs. The first tears and merges the logos of CLOT and Dickies, while the second transforms the traditional Chinese Shuimo painting into a Dickies’ logo. The CLOT x Disney ‘Man in the Forest’ Travelling Mickey exhibition recently had its first stop in Shanghai. CLOT asked a series of artists and designers to present custom versions of the iconic cartoon character. The line-up of participating artists includes Dr. Romanelli, Madsaki, Andre, Cassette Playa, Mr. Cartoon, Eric So, Mr. Azuma, CLOT themselves and other outstanding artists.

For the 125th Anniversary of Coca-Cola, the iconic brand has teamed up with CLOT in Hong Hong. CLOT put together an all-star line-up of collaborations for the occasion. The graphics for the collaboration were provided by none other than James Jarvis. We already presented the Coca-Cola x James Jarvis cans a couple of weeks ago.

The line-up includes a Coca-Cola x Subcrew x CLOT Cap, Coca-Cola x G-Shock x CLOT DW-6900 watch, Coca-Cola x Head Porter x CLOT messenger bag, Coca-Cola x native x CLOT Fitzsimmons boots, as well as a Coca-Cola x CLOT t-shirt and iphone 4 and iPad 2 cases. All product features custom graphics by James Jarvis.

Look out for a release of the product soon at Juice in Hong Kong and possibly other places as well, around May 15th. We will let you know once we find out more.

CLOT has gotten together with Disney as part of their “Man In The Forest” initiative to produce these Mickey Mouse room shoes. The slip-ons are produced by Japanese brand Cause, known for their quality comfort footwear. Inspired by Mickey Mouse, the shoes come in a black/red and a yellow/black colorway, both featuring orange linings and anti-slip stripes on the outer sole. Juice Hong Kong has them in stock now.

CLOT presents the new Kaws EGRA Box Set. The box set consists of the Alienegra t-shirt, created by Kaws, Madsaki, Kazuki and CLOT, as well as the recently published Kaws book by Rizzoli. Overall there are three different sets, each featuring a different color t-shirt. The box set will be released at Juice stores on April 8th in limited numbers.

Hong Kong label CLOT keeps the collaborative train rolling with the Levi’s Nevada Jacket.

“Focused around the use of a distinct vintage wash, the Nevada Jacket is a play off the trademark trucker style Levi’s has become widely recognized for. Maintaining its core aesthetic in tact, the piece remains quite tame as opposed to past CLOT releases, strictly envisioned as a key historic style remade for modern times! Key highlights for this new design include burn marks and distressed details throughout the font, back and sleeves, along with intricate torn detailing around the collar and a gold CLOT patch on the rear yoke.”

While the recent CLOT Levi’s jeans were a bit much for our tastes, this one is right on the money. Available 1, 2011.

The PAM x CLOT x Someday t-shirt is limited to only 30 pieces, exclusively sold at Someday. For the start of the series, they will be auctioning off some of the tees. From the adidas Originals by Originals Kazuki Spring/Summer 2011 Collection we present a highlight in collaboration with CLOT from Hong Kong – the Superstar 80s.

The colorway is a flip of the original black model and gives more than a passing nod to another iconic adidas model, the slightly less rigid upper, constructed from a light-weight perforated mesh that allows for maximum breathability only serves to strengthen the comparison along with the money green and gold overtones.

As with anything Kazuki has contributed to the ObyO line, the whole execution is carefully considered, with a wealth of detail that includes kzkLOT co-branding on the tongue alongside the Trefoil and Kazuki’s own ObyO branding, tastefully executed in an embossed gold foil. The gold theme is extended to the outlined 3-Stripes on the upper and tie in nicely with the overall aesthetic and balance of the shell-toed silhouette.

The shoe is available at select locations throughout Asia and exclusively in Europe at the Number6 and Number74 Originals stores in London and Berlin.
