A couple of weeks ago we gave you a first exclusive look at the Puma Vintage Leather Pack, which presented a subtle line-up of high end sneakers. Today we show you something a little different – the Puma Japanese Monster Pack.

The Puma Japanese Monster Pack commemorates classic Japanese monster movies from the 1950-1970s with five limited styles. Each shoe style brings an iconic monster to life, highlighting its signature features with various fabrics and textures. The monsters artwork is printed on the sockliner and the tongue lining lists its skills. The amount of different materials and details on the pack is insane. The pack is anything but subtle, but if you are a monster fan, it’s a must have. You will find the First Round, Stepper, Puma Mid and the Clyde in the pack.

The Puma Japanese Monster Pack will be released March 2009 at a select number of retailers. In Germany you will be able to get them at The Good Will Out.

As part of their 60th anniversary celebrations, Puma will present for Spring 2009 the Vintage Leather Pack.

The Limited Edition PUMA Vintage Leather Package proves that good style never goes out of style. The package launches classic designs from the PUMA Archive in limited edition, leather executions. The Leather Grip Bag and vintage leather versions of classic Clyde, Easy Rider, and Top Winner shoes are revamped to complement PUMA‘s 60th anniversary celebration.

The Limited Edition PUMA Vintage Leather Grip Bag takes its shape from the original Grip and Globetrotter Reporter Bags to present a truly authentic style for today‘s heritage-loving consumer. Multiple zip pockets and a detachable shoulder strap are the main functional features, while the matte gold metal hardware and the subtle branding with the PUMA #1 Logo underline the sophistication of the bag. True to its limited edition status, only 250 .pieces will be sold world-wide.

The Puma Spring 2009 Vintage Leather Pack will be released February 2009 at selected retailers, including Fever.

Santa Monica based illustrators Kozyndan (Kozy & Dan) worked with Puma on a pack of Clydes. The pack consists of two colorways of the iconic sneaker, both featuring a washed paint upper, giving it a very interesting look.

Both the black/grey and the white/green colorway are now available at Mita.

Initially we only expected the Tommie Smith x Puma Clyde Pack to consist of two colorways. Now we can confirm that it will consist of a total of 4 Clydes, some more loud in terms of design than others, overall a good balance. Tommie Smith was a legendary sprinter, who turned famous at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico. Via LaMJC.

The second shoe in the Polar Pack is the PUMA x Atmos Polar Bear Clyde. Drawing direct inspiration from the polar bears of the Artic the shoe features an off white nubuck upper and fur collar, while the blue ice sole represents the Polar Bear’s natural habitat. The shoe comes with three sets of colored laces and have the Atmos "A" on the lace tips and heel. The Polar Bear is currently ranked as vulnerable and is considered to be facing a high risk of extinction in the wild.

Each shoe in the collection captures the unique characteristics of a specific animal, and features Mr. Iwago’s photography on the removable insole. The name and habitat of each animal is on the reverse tongue and the outsole in both English and Japanese. The shoes were created in hopes of bringing attention to our impact on these endangered animals.

The Polar Pack will be on sale only at Atmos NYC and Ubiq in Philadelphia beginning on June 28th, look for the Asia Pack later this summer.

Exactly a month after Puma drops their endangered polar animals pack, the brand will follow-up with a set of three sneakers that take inspiration from dying out Asian animals. This time they worked on the classic Clyde and created the Golden Monkey and the Crested Ibis sneakers, which is being displayed above. The Clyde is kept more simple than the other sneakers in the pack. No more fur linings and imitations on the outside. That results in more wearable shoes. Via Complex.

We did not really know what else to call it, so we gave it the name "Frog Pack". The pack consists of two Puma Clydes, each featuring a frog on the tongue tag and a fish on the heel. Both Clydes come with oestrich leather uppers and vibrant camouflage patterns.
Japanese Undefeated stores will be releasing the pack on May 31rst.

This June, Puma will release a pack of three sneakers in collaboration with Atmos NY that take inspiration from different endangered polar animals. Each sneaker features photography by seasoned wildlife shutterbug Mitsuaki Iwago (National Geographic’s resident photog), and was produced to bring awareness to the detrimental affects the environment is having on wildlife. The set of three which are inspired by The Harp Seal, Macaroni Penguin (pictured above), and The Polar Bear all have distinct design cues throughout the uppers that mimic the animals aesthetic. The shoes will be exclusive to Atmos, and will drop June 28th. Via Complex.

First offered in 1973 and named for the always sharply dressed (and sharp tongued) Walt “Clyde” Frasier, the Puma Clyde has become one of the brands most popular vintage offerings. Though at its best in suede, new versions of the Clyde Leather hit the nail on the head. Clean versions in black, red and dust blue focus on single color contrast. Available now through Rakuten.

We have seen it from Nike in their Vintage Running, Vintage Dunk and Vintage Vandal campaigns. Puma brings us now the Clyde in a used vintage look. The Clyde has been first released in 1973 and still is one of their most popular models.
Now they released the Clyde in red, blue and brown colorways, suede upper and a used/worn look. All three colorways are now available at Mita.
