Artist Moist follows Kaws in paying homage to Damien Hirst and his famous dissected anatomical model sculptures with a custom 13″ tall dissected version of the Coarse Toys Jaws character. In true Coarse Toys form, this one happens to be wearing Vans Sk8-His and has a shark on his head. This custom work is so good you could swear it was a production model.

Coarse Toys is at it again and present yet another excellent box set of toys. As part of the “Casting Shadows” set, they present “two vinyl figures, the longing nism [4''] and huddled noop [7'']. Set up the fabric paw! kite, and let the noop hold the string tight in his hand. The paw! kite will float high in the sky [14''], casting his shadow onto the two torn friends. A set of c-o-a-r-s-e type leaves complete this scenery, full of desperation.”

Limited to 200 sets, the toys will go on sale on May 3rd, and they will ship out to customers June 2011.

Never disappointing us, Coarse Toys is getting ready to release their new 1:1 PAW! Bust. Limited to 200 pieces, 67 cm high, the bust is made of fiberglass.

“This life-size paw! visage reflects the turmoil experienced in his concluding moments. Bring the monkey-rabbit into your home to gauge the depth of this volatile creature, an extraordinary and once off coarse creation. Brought to life by Mark Landwehr and Sven Waschk.

Includes the 1:1 paw! in sheer intensity. This giant piece is hand crafted, and comes as 4 parts completed in a high gloss coat and lined with a soft felt base. Securely shipped between sponge halves, in a 4 tone printed premium cardboard box.”

The pre-order starts on December 8th, with the actual toys only shipping March 2011.

Coarse continues to impress with their releases, mainly due to an incredible attention to detail and an overall innovative approach to vinyl toy figures. The latest one to be dropping soon, is their False Friends “The Sun Age” figure set.

“This final generation of the false friends aera is limited to 88 pieces and is exclusively available at San Diego Comic Convention and soon at coarse hkg.

Includes noop, muffled in his cuddly soft fur suit and his false friend paw! The two 13’’ vinyl figures are embedded safely in soft sponge, packed in a glossy wooden screen-printed box, with a giant paw! nose knob, all enclosed with an elastic strap. Each set contains one family and friends application code card.”

Limited to 88 pieces, the toy set will exclusively release at Coarse Hong Kong on August 6th.

Coarse Toys presents their latest set of toys, entitled “False Friends in Pain”.

“This handcrafted and hand painted coarse original is limited to 88 pieces. The unique set contains a bleeding noop and his broken friend, paw!

The two hurt 13 inch resin figures are packed apart in individual wooden screen-printed boxes (standing and fallen) to underline the dramatic incident that irrevocably changed the friends’ lives. To prevent further injuries, both are safely packed in sponge. Figures come with a set of autumn alphabet leaves (c-o-a-r-s-e) and a blood puddle. The sets are signed and numbered and contain one family and friends application code card.”

The toys will be available from rotofugi from July 19th and from Coarse Toys from July 21st.

After recently releasing the False Friends pack, Coarse Toys now presents the Blackout Edition.

“Limited to 300 pieces. The set contains the cloaked noop and a pitch-black paw!, staring into nothingness. The distant duo is lost in black sponge. Hidden in a premium black box, stamped with gold and black foil – handcrafted to perfection. The package is completed with 3 original coarse poster prints and sealed by a transparent sleeve with the signature paw! nose. Each set includes a family and friends application card.”

The toys are priced at 3388 HKD and will be released between May 12th and 14th.

Coarse Toys unveils their latest creation. The new release consists of “the colossal paw! and a freshly hatched noop, robed in his heavenly soft paw! suit. The pair comes in glowing spring colors, put to sleep between two cotton pillows, every one embroidered with the individual running number. Safely packed in a hand crafted wooden box with a monkey rabbit nose handle and enclosed with an elastic band. Each set includes one coarse family and friends application card.” The set is limited to 200 pieces and will be available January 7, 2010. A limited Christmas presale takes place at coarsehkg online store on December 10, 2009.

The independent toy producer from Hong Kong, Coarse, has impressed not only with the design, but also the quality of their toys. The Jaws character has been so popular, that new releases have sold out in very short time. The paw! character by Coarse Toys will be released next week in a new Milky Bliss colorway. The all white toy comes with mostly pink accents and blue eyes. Matching they present a great box design, as usual a perfect execution from the premium toy maker from Hong Kong.

The Coarse Toys paw! Milky Bliss version will be released on Monday, June 29th at 10 am Hong Kong time in the Coarse online store and it will also be available at the Taipei Toy Festival.
