We have reported before about the Takashi Murakami exhibition at the Moma in Los Angeles, that is still going on until February 2008. For the occasion Louis Vuitton opened a temporary pop-up store in the museum and is selling a few items, only available at that store. The most interesting items are the coin case and the shopping bag, both coming in the classic Monogram design and with special Murakami artwork.

Japanese store Atmos continues to release nice products under their in-store label. After recently putting out their latest Levi’s collaboration, they now released some polka dot coin cases. The piece comes in 4 colorways and feature a karabiner as well.
They are now available in their Tokyo store and will soon also arrive at the NYC location.

Once again Japanese store Atmos and luggage brand Porter get together. This time they did not only search for innovative design, they sourced special materials for the collection and found with Pendleton Woolen Mills, known for its outstanding American wool, the perfect partner. As part of the Atmos Autumn/Winter 2007 collection they present the Pendleton Wool Collection.
The collection consists of messenger bags, day bag backpack, wallet and coin cases. Each style comes in two colorways in the collection. The line fuses the technical expertise of  Porter with the classic materials of Pendleton, that feature in this collection a somewhat native American design.
One of the strongest luggage lines we have seen this season. Atmos will launch the collection today, October 5th, and if we are lucky it will also be available soon in their NYC store.

The on-going relationship of Gallery 1950 and Porter Japan once again puts out some interesting new accessories. This time they releases a felt coin case and card case. Both pieces come in a variety of colorways, so anyone should find a good match. These are the kind of accessories that one thinks are not important, but in a way almost everybody needs them. As with most Porter goods, these pieces also stay very basic and concentrate on their functionality. Both pieces are now available at Doubledutch.
