After showing you the first release of the Vanguard Autumn/Winter 2008 collection a couple of weeks ago, we give you a first look today at the latest product from the Italian brand that got into stores.
Expanding their cut & sew by a good portion this season, the brand presents crewneck sweaters, hoodis, quilted jackets, denim, sweat pants, beanies and more. The quilted coat with waterproof zippers is certainly one of the stand-out pieces, but the fleece is also convincing and the reversible beanies, nautical sack and other pieces in the new collection we like as well.
The Vanguard Autumn/Winter 2008 “The Full Spectrum” collection is now available in stores and online.

The last time the fashion industry experienced a female liberation movement was during the “bra burning 60s.” Bras, high heels, make-up and other items supporting the unattainable, standard of beauty, were lit aflame in a “freedom trash can” to symbolize opposition to sexual oppression.
Since 2005, Hellz Bellz has provided fashion alternatives for the bold fashionista with edgy, graphic tees, jackets, denim and accessories. Designer Lanie Alabanza defies all the rules of conformity and any fashion entity that claims a woman’s style cannot breach strength, individuality and feminine flair simultaneously.
The Delivery II lookbook from the Fall “Bullet Proof Sisters” collection pays tribute to the sexploitation flicks of the 1960’s -70’s that have always inspired Hellz Bellz. The collection is shipping to stores now.

We present you the first delivery of one of our favorite UK brands, Second Son, entitled “The Past Is So Hot Right Now”.
“So for this season we’ve updated our particular local heritage with a dash of English humour. Victorian monograms meet modern logos, traditional Scottish Fairisle knitting patterns and traditional English bad weather sit side by side on t-shirts, a heraldic crest boasts high fives and wolves alongside a motto translated by an Oxford University Latin professor (no BS), and brand new designs are So Last Season. Meanwhile Prince meets a bunch of Edwardian musicians for a party as a hand-drawn bird sings Ol’ Dirty Bastard lyrics. It’s not necessarily historically accurate by the way.
Delivery 1 of the A/W ’08 range consists of graphic tees and sweatshirts alongside an updated version of our Regular selvedge denim (back by popular demand) and the new, slightly slimmer and more tapered Stealth jeans (jet black twill denim with black stitching, hidden rivets and dark buttons offset by the purple Second Son logo backpatch and silver logo top button). More cut ‘n’ sew products will follow later in the season.”
Nash Money and Raskitt modelled the collection in a beautiful photoshoot. Have a detailed look at the first delivery of the Second Son Autumn/Winter 2008 collection after the jump.

Bape has released some new items as part of their Fall/Winter 2008 collection. We like a lot the general trend of Bape coming back to some more classic pieces, that stand out because of quality rather than in-your-face design. This delivery has a bit of both, with the cut & sew taking the bigger portion.
Some nice plaid blazers, madras patchwork shirts, classic oxfords and Bapesta “Trail” pack are part of the latest releases. Their full zip panda hoodie got a make-over and comes this season in fleece.

We take a first look at the Twelve Bar Spring 2009 collection. The brand continues to develop their cut & sew, which has substantially increased and now makes up the majority of the collection. We still remember the days when the Twelve Bar suitcase turned up, that they used to show their first t-shirt series with and it is great watching them grow and seeing where they are now.
The Spring 2009 collection offers shirts, shorts, jackets, knitwear, fleece and more. Most impressed we are by the large portion of knitwear that the new collection has – much more than all other brands that we see in this category. From heavily knitted tennis pullovers to wool cardigans and vests there is everything represented in the collection.

Today, Wilson is primarily known as a tennis brand. Year of recent tennis champions, from Sampras to Federer, help solidify this image. However, behind these Wimbledon champions lies a decades old tradition in American sportswear. Baseball and football, the classic styles of the 1920s and 1930s, the era of athletics before the glitz and the glamor of major corporate sponsorship.
The 1914 Vintage Collection captures Wilson’s heritage for the Japanese market. Perfectly detailed, down to the labels, the collection brings some iconic pieces of sportswear back to life. The award jacket will be familiar, it is after all a version of a letterman jacket. On the whole, the range reminds just how important these garments are to contemporary casual clothing.

Nike Sportswear took off this past summer along with the Olympic Games in Beijing. Since then we have already seen a strong line-up of apparel and sneaker, as well as some outstanding events around the globe, including the first flagship store opening on Mercer Street in New York City.
Here we give you a preview at the upcoming Nike Sportswear Holiday 2008 apparel collection. The brand presents a nice line-up of jackets, coming both colorful and in more subtle colors. Based on Nike classics, such as the windrunner, Nike Sportswear manages nicely to develop new styles on top of that.
Let’s face it, before Nike Sportswear hardly anybody was wearing Nike apparel outside sports and maybe aside from their windrunner jackets. With Nike Sportswear they are successfully changing that.
