Nelly To Revive Troop

01 April 2008, 14.39 | Posted in Fashion, Sneakers | No comments »

nelly brings back troop - highsnobietyHere are some interesting news. Nelly has according to DNR bought the license for Troop and wants to bring the brand back into the market by end of the year.
“The iconic ’80s hip-hop brand Troop has a new lease on life, thanks to a recent licensing deal with rap superstar Nelly. Along with business partners Ian Kelly and Yomi Martin, the 32-year-old, St. Louis–born musician has licensed the trademark for Troop from Innovative Custom Brands, and will relaunch the label later this year.

The initial collection will feature just a handful of styles, with a focus on familiar Troop items, such as jackets, T-shirts and sneakers. The brand’s executives are targeting specialty streetwear chains like Dr. Jay’s and Man Alive, and will likely price the jackets at around $100 and up.”
Sounds like it will be a Mall brand! But, let’s wait and see what happens!

Size will get them in soon in two colorways. Check out the second colorway after the jump.

08 January 2008, 12.59 | Posted in Other | No comments »

This is really great news via Heron Preston. He interviewed A-Ron The Downtown Don and it looks like we will be hearing a lot more from him again in the coming months. 2007 it got a little calm around him and his former brand aNYthing.
According to this latest interview he has got new space in Soho and will be introducing with his new OFF BOWERY productions a range of 15 brands over the next 2 years. That sounds like a lot, so let’s see what will come out of this, but the store front will for sure be exciting. We are happy to have him back!
Part 2 of the interview in the following post!
