We’ve recently shown you several previews of Yohji Yamamoto’s diffusion line, Coming Soon. There has been some talk about the similarities between Generic Surplus and Coming Soon’s Spring footwear offerings. Generic Surplus’ Brandon Day clears up any confusion, stating that the shoes are in fact a collaboration between the two labels. Brandon also gives us another peek into the Generic Surplus for Coming Soon Spring 2010 Collection. Expect this collaboration to extends into Fall 2010, with a more in-depth lineup.

Designed by Yohji Yamamoto of Y’s and Y-3, COMING SOON is a timeless, casual label created for those who wear what they like. The upcoming Spring/Summer 2010 collection exhibits a number of interesting silhouettes, mixing basic dark shades, subdued colors and some off-the-wall prints. We thoroughly enjoyed the sneakers from the last COMING SOON range, and are excited to have a closer look at the models seen here as they become available. This unmistakably Japanese lineup from COMING SOON will be in stock at selected stores across the planet this coming Spring.

We get a first look at the new pop-up store by Yohji Yamamoto, who will be presenting his Coming Soon collection as well as his collaboration collection with Mandarina Duck, Y’s Mandarina, at the new location in New York for the coming three months. The latest venture from Yohji Yamamoto is Coming Soon. A more youthful line than his flagship, Coming Soon has led things off with the release of a simple set of sneakers. Canvas uppers with rubber soles may not be ground breaking, but Yamamoto manages to tease some new life into the concept and not rehash old looks too directly. They come in both white and black.
