We already presented the new Levi’s jeans from the Junya Watanabe MAN Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. Here is now a further look at the latest pieces of the collection.

Of course we are as usual excited about the line. Junya Watanabe continues to play with patchwork patterns, different fabrics and graphics and presents an interesting heritage inspired look. As much as we do like the shirting this season, we believe the outerwear, at least what releases until now, could have been a little more exciting and seems very similar to what we have seen in previous seasons. Let’s hope that will change though out the season.

After announcing the collaborative range by Bape and Comme des Garcons PLAY last week, we can finally give you a look at some first pieces of the collection. As it turns out these were not real.

UPDATE: We just got word from the Bape Marketing department that the t-shirts shown here are actually fake. Sorry for the confusion guys and congrats to who ever did it, they came out pretty good. Hopefully we can soon show you the real collaboration between the two brands. The official collection by the two brands will be revealed on March 8th, 2012, and seems to be exclusive to the new Dover Street Market Ginza. For now only the above mashed logo design is official.

As part of their new Spring/Summer 2012 Collection Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons MAN once again worked together with Levi’s. This season they present the 1966 JWXX denim. While staying true to the Junya style of playing with patchwork patterns and fabrics, cotton canvas, corduroy and leather were used this season. Haven already has them in stock.

The Comme des Garcons SHIRT line has hooked up again with The Generic Man on this great Hunting Lo sneaker. Available in 3 colors, green, black and brown, these shoes are comprised out of a premium leather upper and are made in the EU. They feature metal eyelets and a white vulcanized rubber sole, which really makes the upper pop. All 3 colors are bangers, but there’s something really enticing about that green pair. What do you guys think? Anyway, these are now available at end.

In an interesting move Comme des Garcons SHIRT has teamed up with George Lucas and his Star Wars franchise for the upcoming Fall/Winter 2012/13 Collection. Known for its patchwork dress shirts, the sub-line by Comme des Garcons added Yoda and Darth Vader characters to the new collection, as well as script based designs hinting at the collaboration. We have seen Star Wars collaborations with everybody, ranging from Moleskine, Burton to A Bathing Ape, therefore we are not exactly sure how this fits in and if it was necessary or even a good idea.

New for Spring 2012, the BEATLES Comme des Garcons collection will be introducing some backpacks. Rucksacks in tartan prints or in all black, both with the iconic green apple and beatles logo, will be available in two sizes. Also, two new tartan shirts will be produced, in either red or blue check. these will be sold exclusively at Dover Street Market, and Comme des Garçons Paris and New York shops from February 17th, until they launch elsewhere in April.

The first product of the new Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons MAN Collection for Spring/Summer 2012 has arrived in stores. Union in Los Angeles received some great shirts, Levi’s denim, caps and hats, cardigans and also some quality outerwear. All pieces have that obvious Junya signature style.

Interview Magazine has caught up with ASAP Rocky for its February 2012 issue. The rapper is all over the place right now and keeps on gaining momentum. Just recently we reported about him making the cover of Complex Magazine.

Here we can show you now some images from the Interview Magazine story, featuring the rapper in the latest high fashion has to offer, ranging from Givenchy to Rick Owens and Comme des Garcons. We like the ‘Comme des FuckDown’ cap and beanie from the shoot, which released years ago from SSUR under his The Cut label. We reported about it in 2007 here. Love that!

The Comme des Garcons Junya Watanabe MAN Fall/Winter 2012 Collection was shown today in Paris. Marking yet another strong season from the Japanese designer, we see another dose of heavy workwear inspiration, yet done in Junya’s exciting and progressive manner. Moving forward while thinking of the past, yet not clinging to either too strongly. We’re fans.

From the new Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons MAN Spring/Summer 2012 Collection we present an interesting patchwork denim shirt. Coming with a dark denim base, the shirt features check pattern and paisley fabrics placed on the upper, resulting in an interesting handmade look.
