Commonwealth x Oakley Frogskin Sunglasses

Commonwealth x Oakley Frogskins

Commonwealth introduces an exemplary approach to their version of the Oakley Frogskin®. The Commonwealth rendition features an original “Cmonflauge” pattern inspired by the look of traditional tortoise shell. Using Oakley’s High Definition Optics®, the sunglasses are equipped with your choice of Gold or Fire Iridium lenses.

In favor of having the product speak for itself, branding efforts were kept to minimum with a tonal Oakley logo on the outside temple as well as Commonwealth’s “C’MON” ribbon printed on the inside of the arm.

The Commonwealth & Oakley Frogskins® are sure to be a timeless classic that stands out amidst the parade of novelty accessory. Made in the USA, with a production run of only 150 pairs, look for these to be available exclusively at Commonwealth stores and online at Cmonwealth.com.

Look for an upcoming campaign featuring the Commonwealth & Oakley Frogskins on the faces of Pusha T from the Clipse, Chad Hugo from N.E.R.D, Wale, Levi Maestro, and the staff from Commonwealth.

The sunglasses will be released on Labor Day, September 7th.

Commonwealth x Billabong Board Shorts | Recycler Series

billabong commonwealth board shorts 1 540x355 Commonwealth x Billabong Board Shorts | Recycler Series

Billabong has developed an exclusive fabric called Eco-Supreme Suede, a recycled and recyclable pure polyester fiber material with superior quality, function and performance made from recycled textiles and plastic soda bottles. This helps lessen our dependence on oil, reduces toxic emissions from incinerators, and conserve resources. This contributes in less contamination, cleaner air, soil and water.

The surf brand got together with Washington boutique Commonwealth to collaborate on the Recycler Series board shorts, using the fabric described above. The tiger stripe camouflage pattern, also called Cmonflauge, came out really nice and not too strong. We also like a lot the branding, including tags and patches on the shorts. About 10 recycled 12oz. plastic bottles are used per short. Look out for a release soon, exclusively at Commonwealth and Commonwealth.com.

cmonwealth stussy historic front Commonwealth x Stussy DC Historic T Shirt

In preparation for the inauguration on January 20th, Stussy DC and Commonwealth will be combining forces for a party on the 19th. A few friends will be dropping by to provide entertainment. DC’s own Wale and UGK’s Bun B among them. The theme, following the reality of the inauguration, is “Historic.” Familiar Stussy and Commonwealth logos fill the required letters and combine with the now ubiquitous Obama “O,” for the related graphic, which will be released on special edition t-shirts. Dating on the t-shirt gets you prepared for inauguration day. (Via Commonwealth’s HS Blog).

Check out the t-shirts after the jump.
