Washington’s Commonwealth store has released their Spring 2009 t-shirt collection. They present both logo t-shirts and new designs, each coming in a series of colorways. The t-shirts are now available online and in store.

In preparation for the inauguration on January 20th, Stussy DC and Commonwealth will be combining forces for a party on the 19th. A few friends will be dropping by to provide entertainment. DC’s own Wale and UGK’s Bun B among them. The theme, following the reality of the inauguration, is “Historic.” Familiar Stussy and Commonwealth logos fill the required letters and combine with the now ubiquitous Obama “O,” for the related graphic, which will be released on special edition t-shirts. Dating on the t-shirt gets you prepared for inauguration day. (Via Commonwealth’s HS Blog).

Commonwealth and Stussy combine on the "Sixty Eight" tee. This shirt features a large photo print of Tommie Smith and John Carlos’ historic act of protest at the Summer Olympics in 1968. On the back reads "In This Great Future…You Cant Forget Your Past…" Following their previous collaboration hinging on MLK’s DC speech a nice theme is developing in these co-branded shirts.

Last week we presented you the upcoming Commonwealth "Wool Felt" New Era caps that will be released in the near future. Today we give you another outlook at what Commonwealth and New Era have coming up.

This pack consists of three caps, each featuring a tonal Pyramid logo and a small logo hit on the back. The caps come in black, green and purple, the green and purple being a little washed out, which we like a lot.

Today we give you a preview of some upcoming Commonwealth New Era caps. Featuring a wool felt crown, black leather bill, and tonal "Ribbon C" logo, the caps come in a really classy look. Quality is of the highest importance and that can be seen from the first second. An overall very solid pack of New Era caps.
The release date has not been announced so far, but you can be sure that we will keep you posted.

A couple of weeks ago we reported about the new In4mation Wayfarer sunglasses. They are now available in two colorways at Commonwealth.

With much anticipation the time has finally come for the release of the Commonwealth x DC Shoes Gatsby model. Pictures have been floating around the internet for a while already, we give you now a first detailed look at the final product.
Inspired by Charles and Ray Eames, these shoes utilize a Maharam fabric designed by Ray Eames in 1947 called the “Dot Pattern”. The outcome is a very solid shoe in two color ways.
Commonwealth will be releasing these shoes Thursday, February 21st, and will be celebrating the event with an instore reception and after party. Now go ahead and check out a detailed look at the shoes after the jump.

We have seen more flannels this Fall/Winter season than in the past 10 years all together. They came of course in the form of shirts, sneakers, bags, accessories, jackets, you name it. Without wanting to bore you, we still do have to show you this fresh flannel shirt by PRPS. The sea blue color looks nice, but what makes this shirt stand out is the approach and amount of customization. It almost feels like the people from PRPS took the same approach as with their denim – lots of custom work, adding value to an otherwise pretty basic product. On the pockets, cuffs and other spots there are nice embroideries smartly changing the look of the shirt.
Definitely one of the best flannel shirts we have come across this season. It is now available at Commonwealth.
