As we mentioned in the preview video post yesterday, “The Concepts x Nike SB “Blue Lobster” Dunk Low Premium will be released on June 20, 2009 and are priced at $250.00 USD. Concepts will also be raffling off a pair of the original Lobster from 2008 during the line-up. Raffle tickets will be sold for $10 each and the drawing will be held immediately following the release.”

Today, after much speculation, Cambridge-based Concepts have announced it will be releasing the Blue Lobster Dunk Low Premium, marking the shops second foray into the Nike SB collaboration game. As you may remember, on May 31, 2008 the first “Lobster” arrived at the “Concepts Shipping Company” and came packaged with a poster, lobster claw rubber band, tee shirt and condiment box, with the first 50 pairs being boxed in a wooden lobster trap.

This time around, it’s dangerous! The Blue Lobster sneaker will be bagged, tagged and sealed in a HAZMAT foam container. Each pair will be joined by an official Nike SB tee shirt, hang tag and lace lock. The first 200 pairs will come with 1 of 2 Concepts x Alien Workshop skate decks. The Concepts x Nike SB “Blue Lobster” Dunk Low Premium will be released on June 20, 2009 and are priced at $250.00 USD. Concepts will also be raffling off a pair of the original Lobster from 2008 during the line-up. After the launch of the Blue Lobster, Concepts will host the Official Blue Lobster Party, featuring a number of special guests and performers including DJ Statik Selektah, Termanology and Masspike Miles. The “Brew Live Cruise” will take place on board the MV Freedom, docked at Rowes Wharf in Boston, MA. Boarding begins at 8:00 pm and the vessel leaves at 9:00 pm sharp! Admission is $30 and only offered to those that are 21+.

Dizzisit got together with Concepts from Boston to collaborate on a t-shirt. The t-shirt was of course designed by Slick and also reads on the back “Slick Exclusive for Concepts”. The white colorway is available now and the the black colorway will be released on June 27th.

Boston boutique Concepts presents their latest line-up of New Era Caps. All in all they released three new designs, each coming in two colorways. Concepts keeps it mostly classic with these, using canvas on the upper and embroidery hits on the front and back.

We give you a first look at the soon to be released Timberland x Concepts 6″ Premium Epi Leather Boots. Inspired by high end luxury leather accessories, the boot comes with a black epi leather upper. Other nice details include the embossed Timberland and Concepts logos, the metal eyelets and the laces. The boot comes in a special packaging, rounding off this premium collaboration.

The Timberland x Concepts 6 Inch Premium Epi Leather Boots will be released in limited quantities at Concepts on April 18th.

Legendary hip-hop group, House of Pain, made a special side trip from their current tour to visitBoston, MA yesterday in celebration of their Adidas x House of Pain collaboration sneaker for St. Patrick’s Day. As we reported previously, the group worked with Concepts on a green Adidas Campus sneaker to celebrate the holiday. As well as the Campus sneaker, a special t-shirt by Slick from Dizzisit, who was also in attendance, was developed.

After the Concepts event, House of Pain performed a private St. Patrick’s Day show at the Roxy in downtown Boston – one hell of a special treat on the holiday of the Irish. (photos credit: Daniel Vogelzang)

The other day we gave you the run down on the new adidas x House Of Pain Campus 80 and already mentioned that Concepts would be collaborating with adidas on a special basketball jersey for the release. The Celtics jersey comes with a collaborative logo patch, featuring all partners involved in the project. It comes in very limited quantities and will only be given to friends and family. 5 signed jerseys will be raffled at the event, taking place at Concepts on March 17th.

adidas Originals and hip-hop group House of Pain collaborated for a special edition St. Patrick’s Day shoe called the Campus 80 House of Pain.  House of Pain member Danny Boy O’Connor contributed design concepts and feedback while adidas designers brought the shoe to life.

The green, gold and white color way of the Campus 80 House of Pain shoe was inspired by the band’s Irish heritage.  The band’s iconic crest, first introduced on the debut album, “House of Pain,” is featured on the tongue.  The deep vintage suede exterior completes the classic look. The sneaker is limited to 1500 pairs worldwide.

Concepts will be hosting the launch event in Boston on March 17th, providing live music and drinks. Concepts also created a Boston Celtics Jersey in collaboration with adidas and House Of Pain, that will be released at the event, along with the sneakers.

After their recent collaboration with Canada Goose, Boston’s Concepts once again impresses us with their upcoming Red Wing boot collaboration on the 875 boots. The boot comes in a nice brown leather and waxed olive canvas, features red laces, white sole and nice white contrasting stitching. The Concepts logo has been embossed on the tongue.

The Red Wing x Concepts Boots will be released in the near future at Alife, Huf, St. Alfred, Kicks/Hi and of course Concepts.

Concepts presents their newest collaborative products with Canada Goose.

Canada Goose has been manufacturing innovative, high quality outerwear in Canada for over 50 years and Concepts is proud to announce their Chilliwack collaboration projects. The Chilliwack “bomber style” jacket was created to provide pilots with the warmth needed on Arctic landing strips but designed for maximum comfort and freedom of movement while in the cockpit. Concepts chose this design for the same reason, style, comfort and functionality. This Chilliwack Parka is a classic bomber based on the authentic aviator style jackets worn by pilots in the far North.

They have created 2 versions of the Chilliwack down jacket. First is the Black version with Blue zippers which features a Wolverine fur trimmed hood. Condensation does not stick to the Wolverine fur and it draws moisture away from your face to prevent frost bite. The second is the orange version with cream colored trim and zippers which features a Coyote fur trimmed hood. What’s interesting about the Coyote fur is that it does not freeze. Both jackets feature Concepts branded patches and embossed lining. Each were made in limited numbers, with only 37 pieces of the orange version created to represent the address of their newest location.

The Black / Blue Chilliwack is available now at Concepts and www.CNCPTS.com. The Orange Chilliwack will be available in January.
