After a strong run with the CTS (Chuck Taylor Skate) CONS brings an iconic sneaker, the Jack Purcell, into the skate arena with a black suede version created for pro skater Ethan Fowler. For anyone who has road-tested the CTS, you’ll know that the bit of extra padding in the tongue and heel collar makes an incredible difference in comfort, both on and off the board. They look great too.

For Spring 2011 Converse continues their push into the skate world with new CONS and Converse Skateboarding releases. Shipping now to shops are the Trapasso Mid in purple suede, the CTS ox in burgundy waxed canvas, the Sea Star in charcoal suede and the Pappalardo in gold suede. March 1, 2011 sees the release of the Pappalardo in sesame canvas, the Trapasso Ox in grey suede mesh, the Star Player Xlite and the CTS ox in black/varsity red suede. Our top 3 are seen above.

For Holiday 2010, CONS presents three gorgeous new CTS sneakers in black perforated leather, navy blue suede and a mid-cut regatta blue. Further releases include both the Trapasso Pro Mid and Pappalardo Pro in chocolate brown suede versions. All shoes pictured are either available now or will be out for November 1, 2010.

Seen at the Converse Skateboarding facility in Huntington Beach were two forthcoming CONS Trapasso Pro models. Featured in both mid and low cut silos, the sneaker is accented with footbed artwork from a good friend of Nick’s. Mesh inserts on the low define the release with an Arizona specific feel. Find these in spring 2011 at CONS retailers.

CONS pro Nick Trapasso recently received his own shoe. Nick had a heavy hand in the design of the shoe – the pop colors and the height in particular – while Nick’s friend JJ Horner hand drawn the foot bed graphic. Following the black/blue/green and blacked out models that are available now, the Trapasso Pro Mid will release in blue/white/varsity red in July and charcoal/white in August. Look for these at core skate shops worldwide.

CONS release a second pro model shoe, this time for Nick Trapasso. Blending the CTS Mid and Pro Leather, the debut color up features a black suede upper with a blue leather chevron and green accents by way of the eyelets and outsole. Now in store at HUF SF.

In addition to the Cranberry Pappalardo, CONS is also releasing some great new colorways of the Chuck Taylor Skate (CTS) for April. First up is the low cut CTS, offered in a classic rubber toe black on white canvas, as well as a more contemporary suede toe parchment number. The CTS Hi comes in a lux perforated white leather with hints of black, while the most daring of the four is the CTS Mid, which is running sans-toe cap this month in a charcoal perf suede, finished with tonal eyelets and contrast red accents. All four will be available April 1st at CONS accounts.

Converse’s core-skate-shop-exclusive CONS line pulls the covers off their Spring 2010 offering. New for the season is the first CONS pro model, the Pappalardo, available in both black/white and PRODUCT(RED) variations. Additional highlights include a clean grey suede CTS low with teal accents, a perf. leather CTS high, and a black waxed canvas CTS Mid. Rounding out the release are several straight-shooting suede skate styles, including Pro Leathers and assorted CTS models.

Transworld has a first look at Anthony Pappalardo’s pro model shoe on CONS. “It has a clean design and a classic look, kinda just like Pops if you think about it. We like to call the Pappalardo Pro a perfect fit.” The first colorway is a patriotic red, white and blue and will be available Spring 2010.

As the title sponsor of the new Thrasher video “Prevent This Tragedy”, CONS produced a capsule collection of shoes and matching apparel. Up to this point, CONS hasn’t done any “collaborations” and this would be the closest they’ve come to one, and might ever come – so this is a pretty big deal. The first shoe to leak is a black suede CTS with blue accents and a Thrasher “Prevent This Tragedy” insole.

The “Prevent This Tragedy” video will be free in the February cover issue of Thrasher Magazine (on newsstands January 12th); but the shoes will be hitting finer skate shops early next week.

CONS drops two clean new CTS Mids for Holiday 2009. The beefed up Chuck Taylor is offered in perforated black suede over a phaeton grey midsole, as well as chocolate suede on white. Each features monochrome eyelets and a non-standard All-Star patch, which are both good looks. The chocolate is available now while the black hits November 1st, 2009 at Converse Skate retailers. Converse offers a preview into their forthcoming Holiday 2009 CONS collection. If you’re not familiar with the line, CONS revamped some of their classic styles into functional skate sneakers with tech such as memory foam tongues, cushioned heel collars and a thicker insole. Pictured above are a black and cranberry Pro Leather with a perforated heel panel; and a new grey CTS (Chuck Taylor Skate) done in suede – right down to the toe cap. The latest drop also includes black CTS mid with red accents. All great simple looks that work well whether or not you actually skate ‘em. All three styles should be hitting retail late next week.

Adding to an already impressive roster, Converse Skateboarding has released the first Chuck Taylor Skate Hi. The CONS CTS Hi features a beefed up insole, as well as a padded collar and padded tongue. We know what you’re thinking, but we can assure you it’s not fat at all. The debut model comes in a red or navy “Digi” canvas with a clear bottom sole. Each shoe comes with an extra pair of white laces. Available now at select Converse Skateboarding dealers such as HUF SF and In4mation.
