A couple of months ago we started previewing the new Creative Recreation high end Italian Collection, with all sneakers produced in Italy in high end fabrics. The line is now finally available online via Oki-Ni. The line offers both low top and high top styles, mostly in subtle designs, with only one high top coming with some color.

Once again Creative Recreation has produced two sneakers exclusively for Barney’s New York, as part of their Spring 2009 collection. The Dicoco comes in two colorways – black wrinkled patent leather and black/white/yellow/gold. Expect these to be released soon.

Today we take a first look at the Creative Recreation Spring 2009 Collection. The California footwear brand continues to develop nicely. In recent seasons the collections have become very colorful and featured some pretty crazy styles. Happily we can report that they took a step back from that again and offer in their new line-up mostly classic styles with hints of color. If they use color, they mostly present tonal styles.

The line-up also includes some styles from their newly launched Italian Collection, coming in premium leathers, produced in Italy. Lots of great simple styles are in the collection, just perfect for Spring.

After giving you a look a couple of days ago at the Creative Recreation Holiday 2008 Barney’s Exclusives, we show you today the line-up of their Select Limited collection, a premium segment in their collection.

The line presents many styles, some more loud in terms of design, others more subtle and about the details. Overall the mix is good and Creative Recreation underlines their standing as a lifestyle footwear brand.

Just like every season, Creative Recreation presents a couple of styles and colorways that are exclusive to Barney’s New York. This season the line-up includes the Cesario, Dicoco, Kaplan and the Torrio. Some styles are clearly inspired by the Holiday season, coming with metallic gold applications. Others stay more subtle. Our favorite in the line-up is the Kaplan, which comes in perforated suede and came out great.

DJ Irie and Creative Recreation have collaborated on an exclusive version of the Milano Hi shoe with 100% of the sales being donated to the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. An avid basketball fan, DJ Irie took the original Milano Hi and applied his own creative design elements resulting in “The Irie Milano Hi”. The shoe pays homage to his favorite team, the Miami Heat.

The Irie Milano Hi is made from soft full grain leather with patent leather and suede accents. It is diamond perforated and color blocked in the Heat’s core colors – black, burgundy and white. DJ Irie’s block logo is embedded on the inner sole of the shoe. The Irie Milano Hi retails for $250 and will be available at Atrium, Lulu’s and Shoe Gallery starting Monday, December 8th. The Irie Milano Hi is a limited edition shoe with only 200 pairs being made available in the US.

DJ Irie will celebrate the launch of his Milano Hi with a red carpet toy drive and fundraising event. At the event DJ Irie and Creative Recreation will present Big Brothers Big Sisters with a check in the amount of $50,000. The event will take place in Miami at Aerobar on Sunday, December 7th.

A good cause with a solid sneaker coming out of it, which is usually not the case!

Just like every season, footwear brands Creative Recreation offers next to their regular in-line product a couple of styles, which are exclusive to Barneys New York. 
This Fall 2008 season they present two Cesarios, one Cesario Lo and one Dicoco. We have to admit that this seasons Barneys Exclusives are a little less exciting than usual. We do not see any material of design upgrades compared to the in-line product, unlike in previous seasons.

We present you a preview of the upcoming Creative Recreation Pinstripe Pack. The pack consists of overall four shoes – two boots, one mid top sneaker and one low top sneaker. All come in a premium black leather colorway with pinstripe accents. Via Complex.

We continue the preview of the newly launched Creative Recreation Italian Collection. The high end sneaker collection speaks to a more grown-up customer and offers subtle high quality sneakers, made in Italy.

We continue to preview the new Creative Recreation high end Italian Collection, which is entirely produced in Italy. After previewing the Turino and the Porello models last week, we show you today the Cesario.
