Curren$y – Lemon Kush Video

11 February 2010, 20.15 | Posted in Music | No comments »

One thing that you can say about Curren$y is that he’s a workaholic. While you were yelling at the television on SuperBowl Sunday, he was wild goose chasing the fictional Smokee Robinson on his newest mixtape endeavor. Now straight from celebrating New Orleans field domination, Curren$y brings us a short video for his track Lemon Kush off of the “Where is Smokee Robinson” mixtape showing Hot Spitta at the pen and pad scribing the lyrics for the bouncy track.

Curren$y “Breakfast” Video

“We don’t have the power to change the weather as of yet, but those of us with means can change our location to fit the climate we desire. In Curren$y’s latest video for his song “Breakfast” he does just that going from sleeping through NYC’s harsh winter to waking up in a sun drenched Jamaican villa. Director Jonah Shwartz leads us through Spitta’s daily routine of early morning doobie rolling over a mellow Mos Def produced soundtrack.”

Curren$y “Fear and Loathing in New Orleans”

19 June 2008, 04.37 | Posted in Music | 1 comment »

highsnobiety - curren$y
Having come to national attention via affiliation with Lil’ Wayne’ Young Money Camp, Curren$y is no stranger to the rap high life. He’s moved on and revamped since his tenure with Mr. Carter. Now he’s part of Fly Society, with Kr3w and BBC team rider Terry Kennedy. The skate and streetwear influence might be a touch heightened, but it does remain a carry over from Curren$y’s original vibe. Recently the crew teamed up with Sneaker Politics to release a set of Fly Society Tees and last week saw the launch of a new mixtape. "Fear and Loathing in New Orleans," has Curren$y practicing his own style of gonzo journalism and can be found from the good folks at onsmash. Limited edition tees marking the release are also available from Sneaker Politics. More info on that soon.
See the back cover and track list after the jump.
