Silly Thing curated a set of Medicom Toy 1000% Kubricks in the semblance of legendary electronic artists Daft Punk. Printed with the Daft Punk logo on their backs, each figure is adorned with the corresponding musicians’ iconic stage gear. The lower leg is marked with the Silly Thing logo and comes packaged in a co-branded Silly Thing and Daft Life Ltd. box. But you knew that. Here’s the big news: they’ll be available October 1st, 2009 at Think Silly Store and at Cool Cats. On October 5th you will see a more general release at select retailers including Joyce, Dover Street Market, Surrender, Contemporary Fix and colette. Retails for approximately $1650 USD.

The French electronic duo Daft Punk has been included in the upcoming DJ Hero game and today we get a first preview of what it will look like. They also produced a video trailer announcing the partnership. There will be 11 exclusive mixes by Daft Punk in the game, which will be available in stores from October 29th.

The first trailer of the sci-fi cult remake Tron Legacy has come out in time for Comic Con. Not only are the special effects stunning, but the album soundtrack, as reported before here, was produced by Daftpunk. Something to look out for in 2010!

Today we can give you thanks to Busy P a first look at the actual final toys from both the front- and the backsides. Unfortunately the 1000% Daft Punk Kubricks will only become available in October. We can only advice you to start planning now how to get your hands on a set, it will certainly not be easy.

Sometimes we ask ourselves what takes so long in making a 1000% version of a figure happen, especially when the 100% and 400% versions have already been out in the market place. The other day we gave you an exclusive first look at the Daft Punk x Silly Thing 1000% Kubricks by Medicom. Today we get a detailed look from TK at the heads of the two figures and that makes you understand how much detail and precision work is needed in order to blow up the figures into this new gigantic size properly. The amount of details are very impressive.

After previously working with Medicom on the Beatles 1000% Kubrick Set, Silly Thing has now gotten together with Medicom again and with Daft Punk. Together they created the 1000% Daft Punk Kubrick Set. The set was already a huge hit when releasing in the 400% size, we do not even want to know how quick these will sell out. The much anticipated new Daft Punk x Medicom 400% Bearbrick Set has been released. This is the first time that Medicom releases a 400% double pack, which we have previously only seen on the 100% size. The set is now available at colette.

We came across some interesting news today, about how Daft Punk will be producing the soundtrack for the upcoming TR2N movie, the follow-up to TRON, originally released in 1982. Finally Daft Punk is going back into the studio, after only releasing one live album since 2005. Good news! Via Billboard.

Not for the first time the famous Daft Punk duo get a Bearbrick make-over, but this time they come back in a 400% Twin Pack. Based on the 100% Bearbrick Daft Punk “Alive 2007″, that released along with their last album, this is the very first 400% Bearbrick twin pack by Medicom. Expect these to release in the coming weeks.
