Take a look at a couple of custom Toyota trucks that were recently on display at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, NV. DC Shoes and West Coast Customs got busy on a Toyota Tundra, which was done up on matte black with white DC branding throughout. This Tundra features some handy modifications designed with motorcross enthusiasts in mind. Features such as a refueling nozzle, air compressors and easier means to transport your bikes have been put in place to make life a little easier.

The Oakley Tacoma caters to the surfer. This guy features a surf rack, BBQ grill, and a cooler so you can make a complete trip out of it. They even added a shower nozzle, which is a pretty awesome addition to this truck and a luxury if you’ve ever roughed it while camping. This whole custom truck thing is looking mighty enticing thanks to these 2.

This Fall 2011 season DC Shoes presents an interesting new concept collection, going by the name NVRBRKN. The capsule collection consists of some apparel pieces, some accessories, and of course footwear. DC takes a more innovative approach with the line, using technical fabrics and keeping functionality at the core of the product in all cases. The collection is getting into stores now.

After a long hiatus from being a successful retailer, Dave Ortiz of DQM is back with a new retail concept called Dave’s Wear House. This short film from DC Shoes illustrates why the brand sees Dave the perfect person to represent one of the three quotes for its new collection, NVRBRKN: “Never Underestimate your opponent”!

The NVRBRKN collection is a new head-to-toe product line with a design philosophy to boost confidence when facing opposition. Never Broken is a metaphor about overcoming adversity, mentally and physically. Skateboarders are a testament to this spirit, since they are known for their ability to adapt to obstacles on the street using an unorthodox approach. Their mentality is to get back on the board despite injuries and being overlooked. Skaters pave their own way in society with a mindset that allows them to succeed: Never underestimate your opponent, never compromise, and never quit! NVRBRKN.

Both the collection launch and the grand opening of Dave’s Wear House will take place Monday July 18th 7pm, at 123 Baxter Street, New York, NY 10013. Have a look inside here.

In an interesting project DC Shoes has joined forces with Bruxe for a capsule collection, entitled “Dead Rat Pack”.

” This collection was to be aimed at a contemporary customer as is most of the Life collection. After lots of back and forth with the accessories and DC Life team and a couple rounds of story boarding, we settled on a backpack, a small courier bag, a baseball cap, a driving cap and a cycling jacket. We decided on a heavy waxed canvas mixed with a rich pebble leather for the bags, making them some of the most durable bags we have made to date.”

The collaborative capsule collection is hitting DC Life accounts right now. Since Bruxe is from Canada, they wanted to do something special for the launch over there and got together with Off The Hook. They designed a special fixed gear bike, matching the collection, with the store. The bike is being given away at the launch event of the DC LiFE x Bruxe Dead Rat Pack Capsule Collection at Off The Hook on November 25th.

In time for Black Friday, DC LiFE presents a new special edition version of its Admiral Sport high top sneaker. The “Murdered Out” comes in an all black premium leather colorway, mixing premium full grain leather and nubuck for the contrast. Look out for a release this coming week at DC LiFE retailers.

The other day we presented the black colorway of the DC Life Lieutenant WR Boots. Here is now a first look at the wheat colorway of the winter boots.

The DC Admiral Sport has quickly become a popular sneaker. For Fall 2010 the brand presents the high top in a new beige/light grey colorway, using leather and suede on the upper, with the DC logo being featured in wool on the large tongue. The sneaker is now available from Wish.

DC Shoes continues to work with sneaker customizer SBTG. As part of their “Circus of Mutants” collaboration they present the Gatsby “The Fly” style. The low top sneaker comes in two colorways and features a fly design all over the upper.

DC Life continues to roll out first pieces from their Spring 2010 Footwear Collection. The first drop is their flagship model – the Admiral. This time it comes in a new maritime colorway.

“The Maritime colorway is meant to invoke “the quintessential travel piece that has traveled many memorable trips in society.” Although that reference may escape some kids who have grown up with nothing but fly shredder suitcases, its still a buttery looking shoe.”
