Another nice series of decks that we recently came across. Amsterdam based stores Patta and Ben G got together with Rockwell Clothing, the clothing line of artist Parra, to drop a series of skateboard decks. The art on the decks comes from Parra of course. Expect these to be available at both stores some time next week! Via Ben G.

Makeset is a design collective comprised of two Brooklyn-based artists/designers/makers – Mike Perry and Zoo’s very own in-house creative mastermind, Damien Correll.  Long-time friends and regular collaborators, over the years the two have joined forces on several ‘zines, prints, and other acclaimed art projects.  The tag team duo’s new series of Zoo York pro models feature custom graphics that are a playful spin on NYC’s iconic landmarks, renowned architecture, and bustling neighborhoods.  From Coney Island, Times Square, and the East River, to the Brooklyn Bridge, Flatiron District, and Chrysler Building, the Makeset Artist Series provides a unique visual narrative on the Big Apple.
RTEmagicC zooyork 2.jpg Zoo York Artist Series Decks Makeset & Broken WindowsThe Broken Windows Artist Series is a custom creation brought to life by a covert design collective affiliated with Zoo York.  Keeping it dark and gritty like New York City, the graphics on this collaborative series of pro model boards reflect the wide range of typography, graffiti, and scrawls plastered all throughout the city’s five boroughs.  Cleverly designed so the graphics from one board bleed onto the next to form a complete set (aka, polyptych), the inspiration for this series was derived from a challenge to the 80’s era Broken Windows theory that was adopted by the Giuliani Administration as a way to clean up city streets by cracking down on graffiti, petty crime, and other forms of perceived “vandalism.”

RTEmagicC supreme takashimr 1.jpg Supreme x Murakami/Mr. Skate Decks & Online Store Announced
As usual, the Supreme news come in Monday morning. This time they announced an exciting collaboration with two Japanese artists. Supreme will release a series of limited edition skateboard decks designed by artists Takashi Murakami and Mr. The series will consist of three decks designed by each artist.

They will be available exclusively through the six Supreme stores (New York, Los Angeles and four locations throughout Japan) and selected retail accounts.

On September 20th, the skate decks will also be available in their new online shop (u.s. only). Just a few months ago Supreme launched their first website, which was already unexpected. An online store was definitely the last thing we would ever see from Supreme. Unfortunately the online store is U.S. only.
Otherwise this is just another impressive collaboration by the NYC brand. Thanks to them some of us get our hands on artwork that is otherwise too expensive and unattainable.
Check out all decks in detail after the jump.
