New York based fashion design duo Dee & Ricky have lent their trademark retro style for the second time to the G-Shock GA-111DR-7AER. This limited edition chronograph perfectly pairs an extra-large analog/digital with the Dee & Ricky design aesthetic, known from their previous collaborations and Lego brooches. To further customize the timepiece, the Dee & Ricky logo appears on the band and the engraved backcase features the Dee & Ricky caricature.

After having released the black version of the watch Summer 2010, this new white version will release early November 2011 and go for 150 Pounds.

Film director Kenzo Digital has hooked up with Dee & Ricky to produce a short film promoting their new collaboration with G-Shock. The film is an homage to 8-bit video and Kung-Fu culture. It came out really nice!

We reported about the collaboration between G-Shock and Dee & Ricky a while ago. Last night the launch was celebrated at the Bowery Hotel in New York City.

“Dee & Ricky, the New York based fashion design duo, have lent their trademark retro style to the latest edition to the G-Shock Family, the GA110DR-1A. This limited edition chronograph perfectly pairs an extra-large analog/digital with the Dee & Ricky design sensibility seen on fashion runways and metropolitan sidewalks worldwide. To celebrate the launch of their new collaboration, G-Shock and Dee & Ricky hosted a lively fete at the hip Bowery Hotel.

Well-attended by tastemakers and influencers alike, the evening included a special screening of Dee & Ricky’s G-Shock video by Kenzo Digital and guest performance by Hip Hop Artist Donnis. Notable guests included Andre Harell, Bun B, Tristan Wilds, Kel Spencer, and design duo Coco & Breezy.”

Casio G-Shock teams up with design duo Dee & Ricky, best known for their lego jewelry creations.

“Dee & Ricky, the New York based fashion design duo, have lent their trademark retro style to the latest edition to the G-Shock Family, the GA110DR-1A. This limited edition chronograph perfectly pairs an extra-large analog/digital with the Dee & Ricky design sensibility seen on fashion runways and metropolitan sidewalks worldwide.

The GA110DR-1A uses rudimentary building blocks as a starting point, the design draws on primary colors to mimic the appearance of a toy watch. Like the duo’s signature Lego®-based designs, all the details pop against the black backdrop. A never seen G-Shock technique combines contrasting LCDs, gear-shaped hands and other parts to create a distinct multidimensional effect exclusive to the GA110DR- 1A. To further customize the timepiece, the Dee & Ricky logo appears on the band and the engraved backcase features the Dee & Ricky caricature.

Remaining rooted in G-Shock technology, the Dee & Ricky X G-Shock is JIS Class Level I magnetic resistant to protect against the effects of magnetic fields often found in airport metal detectors. Additional GA110 features include shock resistance, 200M water resistance, Auto LED Light with Afterglow, 48 City World Time, 1/1000th Stopwatch with speed indicator, and 4 Daily Alarms and 1 Snooze Alarm, Auto Calendar and Hourly Time Signal.”

The custom watch comes wrapped in a nice Dee & Ricky designed metal box. The watch will be released July 2010.

Dee & Ricky’s latest release see them align with M & M on a selection of sterling silver rings with.. wait for it.. interchangeable LEGO pieces. The set pictured above includes sunflower, cactus, flower and scorpion (with faux diamond) options, while others feature standard LEGO blocks. Now in stock at Barney’s.

Dee & Ricky have been commissioned by Pepsi and Epiphany to produce a limited-edition run of Pepsi-logo branded brooches. True to their style, the twin duo have once again flipped pop iconography and re-contextualized it into their unique language of LEGO mastery. The pins were made in a super-limited quantity, with the first batch being gifted to a select range of cultural influencers. A later retail release date will be announced in the near future.
