Swiss watchmakers Romain Jerome has announced a partnership with DeLorean Motor Company to create some interesting timepieces, inspired by the iconic car. The motor manufacturer of the legendary DMC-12 car that featured in the the iconic 1985 film ‘Back to the Future’ will merge their car’s DNA with Romain Jerome’s watches. The end products will all share the core Romain Jerome’s philosophy of honoring fascinating events and items from our history with timepieces that contain trace amount of items from those events. In this case, the watches are said to contain sheet metal from the original car bodies. Stay tuned for upcoming news.

Great Scot! Yes, you are looking at the brand-new, all-electric DeLorean set to release for 2013. Direct from DMC: “For several years, DeLorean Motor Company of Texas has been reconstituting the fruit of John Z. Deloreans’s troubled loins (phrasing!). Now we are working with electric-car startup Epic EV to put an all-electric DMC-12 into production by 2013.” Now all you need to complete your Marty McFly kit (assuming you have the Nike MAGs already) is a functional Mattel Hoverboard.

The Hundreds teamed up with the DeLorean Motor Company to pay homage the iconic DMC-12. “Each T-shirt is a different take on DeLorean and DMC-12 from a The Hundreds perspective, mirroring various Southern California car culture tees, while still maintaining an appealing design for our customer and DMC enthusiast alike. The New Era baseball cap is also a salute to DMC’s aesthetic. The 3 Adam Bomb emblems are indicative of the 3 letters on the car’s grill, and the undervisor pattern is derived from the DMC-12’s familiar back taillights.” A DMC-12 will be on display outside The Hundreds’ LA store this Thursday, and at the SF location this Friday and Saturday. The gear drops this Thursday at both locations.
