Levi’s previews a few pieces from their forthcoming collaborative collection with Opening Ceremony. The line is heavy on corduroy with shirts, jackets, cutoffs, and pants in a selection of pop colors including pink, lavender, dusty blue and curry (pictured above). All items are Made in The USA, based on the 505 Levi’s jean. The collection hits select Levi’s and Opening Ceremony shops beginning February 9th.

We do not feature Diesel too often here, but we have to give it to them for the slogan of their new Spring/Summer 2010 campaign – Sex Sells … Unfortunately We Sell Jeans. The campaign has been shot in a familiar style, that we often see in American Apparel campaigns and also Terry Richardson shoots.

Levi’s Japan drops two new Trucker Jackets from the New Originals line up for Spring 2010. Again, each piece takes cues from the Fenom collection with vibrant contrast details including zippers, loops, and prints. Seen here are the 2nd Type Trucker jacket with yellow accents, and the 1st Type Trucker Jacket with blue accents. Each jacket is treated with a water repellant coating, and is designed to pack away into a matching Nylon Bag. Now available at e-levi.jp.

The drop will include a Patrician WT-Folk, a wingtip styled lace-up shoe, a leather riders jacke, new Fluxus damaged denim and the Folk Virgil boot. After working last season on a collaborative 501, Levi’s and House of Holland got together once again for Spring/Summer 2010 to work on a mens and womens collection. Overall the collection consists of 8 pieces, all made of washed denim. In contrast to the blue denim you get black denim straps and gold strap-locks. The collaborative label of the collection is a Levi’s logo inside a house, all in purple. The collection will release in February across Europe.

Taking cues from the Fenom line, the denim is adorned with”originals detail for the Tokyo Street Scene” including vibrant contrast stitching, zippers, loops, and prints. The denim is also treated with a water repellant coating, and is designed to be pack away into a matching Nylon Bag.

Overall the offering consists of 505 Regular Straight Fit and 503 Relax Straight Fit jeans in Rinsed, Adjustable Rinsed, Black and Dark Wash styles, as well as 1967 Type III Trucker Jackets, and 2nd Type Trucker Jackets in Rinsed, Dark Wash and Black. The first delivery of this progressive Levi’s collection is now available for purchase from e-Levi.jp.

Original Fake hooked up with Levi’s Vintage Clothing. They worked on the S501XX 1944 model and Original Fake customized it as part of their Spring 2010 Collection. The back pockets feature contrasting white stitching and the Chompers pattern. Look out for a release soon. Via Colorfarm.

Denim label Edwin worked with ‘old friends’ Folk (and their footwear label Shofolk) on a number of great pieces for the season.

The EF-62 Denim sees Folk take advantage of the Edwin denim archives to create their own regular fitting, straight leg jean from organic, lightweight denim, adding some distinctly ‘Folk’ design features.

On the footwear side, we see Shofolk’s classic Armstrong boot and Alaric shoe incorporate Edwin detailing and branding (Edwin denim heel detail and logo tab) to give a distinctive and original look. Features premium leather and suede uppers with leather lining and waxed cotton laces. Available for purchase from End.

FUCT offers a look into the first two SSDD denim styles. Coming in both and dirty washed selvedge styles, the denim is manufactured in Okayama, Japan – an area known for it’s denim. All metal trim is YKK New Max, which FUCT states is “a replica of vintage Scovill trims (1820 USA trims which are no longer in business, YKK bought the rights of the Scovill trim shapes).” Look for these at FUCT SSDD accounts shortly.
