After announcing it earlier on, the Topman denim films have released today, including overall 3 short films.

“Topman Denim and director Laurence Ellis proudly present “Henry”, a short film representing summer and youth.

Real kids hanging out and passing the day away… Yet their thoughts are always there, and the day is symbolic of something bigger. A moment in time which will pass very quickly. This film is part of an intertwining trilogy following the a single day of three young men – Louis, Henry and Sid. (Part 1/3).”

As part of the Peanuts 60th anniversary celebration, they also present a collaboration with mastermind Japan. The denim features lots of patches, featuring the characters of Peanuts and of course the skull and bone logo of the Japanese brand.

Today we take a look at French label Bleu de Paname’s AW10 offerings. The collection is called “Uniforme”, and draws inspiration from Professional Utility Uniforms, which are described as follows -

The Professional Uniforms Utilities are required in certain occupations or activities, they are more than a dress code it’s a real statement and it’s often considered as “workwear”, according to occupational hazards or risks.

Some nice new product has released from the Head Porter Plus Fall/Winter 2010 Collection. The drop includes a M-65 jacket with a grid all-over pattern, some solid plaid shirts, as well as new denim with nice details on the back pockets. The new pieces are now available from NOS.

In a surprising move, Jun Takahashi’s brand Undercover has worked for Fall 2010 with Coca Cola Zero on the Limited Music Collection.

“Jun Takahashi is a big fan of Joy Division and Patti Smith. In fact, the fashion designer was a member of a band in his youth, namely Tokyo Sex Pistols. Music has always been a major inspiration and key influence in Undercover aesthetic.

Coming autumn, Undercover and Coca-Cola zero® are taking on the theme ‘music collection’ to create a collaboration named ‘Zero Makes Noise’. In order to showcase the concept, Takahashi has also designed a new look for the famous Undercover bear, holding an electronic guitar – a one-of-a-kind Blind Fold Bear emblem. There will be four collaboration items in this collection, including Undercover × Coca-Cola zero® jeans, T-shirt, phone case and tote bag. Printed with Blind Fold Bear at its back, the jeans are complete with Undercover details such as U Mark. The phone cases are tailored for iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4. A project curated by SILLY THING, this is the first non-fashion collaboration for Undercover.”

The collection will be released at Undercover Hong Kong on September 9th.

Japanese brand Deluxe will be releasing new product from their Fall/Winter 2010 Collection this coming weekend. We have to admit that so far the new collection has not stood up to its standard, but this upcoming drop looks promising. Next to some nice shirts, they also present wool double breasted blazers with matching cropped pants, denim, some nice jackets and more.

As you may know, Levi’s have teamed with Billy Reid for Fall 2010 as part of his win as GQ’s ‘Best New Menswear Designer in America.’ As part of that collaborative program, Levi’s and VBS.tv filmed a documentary down in Florence, Albama – Billy’s hometown and base – spotlighting local musicians of the famed Muscle Shoals studios.

The documentary in its entirety will be screened at Billy’s NYC boutique as part of his participation with Fashion’s Night Out, this coming Friday, September 10, 2010. In the meantime, we can show you a “vignette” trailer promoting the film, which of course showcases garments from the Levi’s Workwear by Billy Reid collection.
