Sweden’s Acne has released another great looking Desert High boot, this time around in a rich blue suede. A brown leather lining and nude colored laces compliment the upper in a mighty classy looking way. This style, although done time and time again, is one of Acne’s stronger footwear offerings and they seem to do just enough with it to make the shoes stand out. These are available now through Acne.

Featuring a textured brown leather upper with a raised seam around the toe, Rag & Bone’s Oppland Desert Boot is a handsome option for Fall/Winter 2011. The shiny leather heel, white and red logo pull tab and scuffed white rubber sole add character. Now available at SSENSE.

For Spring 2012, Generic Surplus teams with L.A.-based artist and designer Steven Harrington on a special edition pair of Desert Boots. For the project, Harrington embellished the ankle collar of the boot with various glyphs that circle around the heel, while the tongue features a large “&” symbol.

The shape and materials are good on these and there’s a poster that goes along with the release too. Agenda sighting.

Having already previewed Swims’ Spring/Summer 2011 collection, we have a better look at their moccasin, that’s actually titled as the Helmut Desert Boot.

Each shoe is made up of 3M Scotch Guard high density nylon uppers and a hydro guard lining, giving a rather original look and twist to the ever-so-popular desert boot. It comes in five different colorways and all feature Swims’ signature orange on a ribbon heel tab, providing that added touch to this fine piece of footwear. These will be perfect for the up coming Fall and Winter seasons as they have a very high resistance against water. Expect these to be available from Swims soon.

Clarks Originals celebrate British Rock Royalty with a new capsule collection, scheduled for Spring Summer 2012.

The brand’s iconic Desert Boots have been updated in two styles – one with a Union Jack design and the other featuring the distinctive red, black and gold colorway that makes up the uniform of the guards at Buckingham Palace.

The shoes will be released to celebrate both Clarks Originals’ ongoing support the British music scene, and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, which will be commemorated in the UK next year.

London, UK retailer Present has produced a series of in-house Desert Boots. Offered in four colorways, the Present boots take a very tried-and-true approach to the style, with slight variations to make them their own. We’d wear the blue suedes above, no questions. Now available at Present.

Based in Rochdale, Lancashire, British Millerain have been manufacturing high performance waxy leathers and oilskins since 1880. This season Clarks Originals have used a rich brown shade of their waxed leather, and added buttercup yellow laces and stitching, for great updates on both the Desert Boot and Wallabee.

We take an exclusive early look at the Clarks Desert Boot line up for Fall 2011. Beyond the previously previewed collab with Japanese label Loopwheeler, the line also includes gorgeous dark blue and burnt orange leather boots, alongside a unique “leaf-look” bull nubuck variation. Look for these in-stores for late August. Also of note for Clarks fans, they’ve just relaunched their site at www.clarksoriginals.com, so check that out if you have a spare minute.

Japanese label SASQUATCHfabrix presents their twist on the classic Desert Boot – adding a “cactus” applique detail to several suede colorways of the crepe-soled shoe. Available through Zozo.

Gucci has released their take on the iconic Desert Boot. Besides a somewhat elongated toe, white outsole and small red and green Gucci flag, the light brown suede style stays fairly true to the original form. Now in store at Concepts.
