Following last month’s Vans toy, September sees the launch of a collaborative Nike Safari themed toy from UK-based retailer Offspring. “Paying homage to the classic 1987 Nike Safari as well as this seasons hot Air Max 1 Safaris, these two collectables land in store September 5th and will be given away with every Nike purchase over £50 while stocks last.”

MCA of Evil Design & TOY2R are proud to present the new book ‘Simian Nation.’ This is Toy2R’s first publication in a new series of Artist Collection Books. ‘Simian Nation’ is 96 full color pages, 200 mm x 148 mm, soft cover with the first edition limited to 1000 copies. The book covers the evolution of MCA’s signature character the ‘Evil Ape.’ Forward provided by Raymond Choy (President of Toy2R).

Kid Robot is getting sexy this fall. Sure, the Hugh Hefner PEECOL by German based Eboy isn’t the most indicative piece, but the collaboration with Playboy should get hearts racing. HEF comes in requisite dressing gown and sailor hat, his hallmarks. He won’t be alone (thankfully), and the first Playmate to be featured is Miss November 1978, Monique St. Pierre. She comes in the form of a 7.5 inch vinyl figure designed by comic artist Paul Pope. Check Kidrobot for both next month.

Medicom announced over the weekend a massive line-up of Bearbricks that will be hitting stores over the coming months. Here we give you a look at the more special pieces that you should be looking out for.
For Valentines Day 2008, they will be releasing a set of Bearbricks, business as usual. There will be a 100% & 400% ResonateGoodenough Bearbrick set. Pepsi got together with Medicom and Nex Fox to release a series of movie inspired Bearbricks, one for each f the following movies: Fight Club, Alien, The Day After Tomorrow, The Devil Wears Prada, Titanic, 24, Prison Break, Predator, Die Hard, Planet Of The Apes, Night At The Museum and The Omen. Also there will be a new 1000% Mastermind Bearbrick, Royal Order and Queens East Bearbricks and a lot more!

Suckadelic just released their very first Vinyl Figure, Sucklord 600. With the same irony that they approach pretty much everything, they also approached this toy. Sucklord 600 comes with several accessories including a boombox, lasersword, turntable and a cape.

End of November Kidrobot will be opening their next flagship store, South Beach Miami. That’s definitely exciting news. Of course the designer toy brand has something special waiting for you at the opening. They worked with designer Huck Gee to created a limited edition Miamified 3″ Skullhead Dunny. The toy is limited to 305 pieces and can only be picked up at the opening, November 29th!

The week is starting and as usual Bounty X Hunter drops some new stuff. This week the brand has some surprises waiting for you. A wide range of clothing was released including shirts, denim shirts, quilted shirts, jackets, t-shirts and more.

We have reported before about this collaboration and now finally a release date is set. The XLarge x David Flores x Bearbricks will be released the 2nd of November. They come in four colorways and all feature the signature style by the artist. Defintiely something for collectors!
