Kangol x D*Face Hats Holiday 2011

Kangol continues to work with artist D*Face and presents for Holiday 2011 two new hats. The release features two felted wool bowler hats – The Stockton and The City Riot. Both hats come loaded with extra features including D*Face Brain Artwork print on the satin lining, a metal crossed wing pin on the cross piece and a punk style D*Face pin badge. The City Riot comes with a soft cotton print bandana that can be worn as a smile or a frown. Both hats are beautifully presented in a custom matt black hat box and come of course as a limited edition. Look out for a release later this month at Hanon.

Artist D*Face hooked up a crazy-ass spray paint skateboard system. “What better way to paint the pool then letting everyone get involved? With high-tech remotely controlled spray can apparatus mounted to the underside of skateboards…every line a skater took became the paint job of the pool.”

D*Face "Going Nowhere Fast" Exhibition Recap

Over the weekend D*Face opened his solo exhibition at Corey Helford Gallery in Los Angeles, entitled “Going Nowhere Fast”. The artist presented a lot of new pieces at the show, including his new tombstone pieces, three ‘dead’ celebrity impersonators, and free D*Face Bullet Rings, next to a series of paintings, collages, installations and more. Make sure to pass by the exhibition if you get the chance.

Artist D*Face has created a large scale mural this week in Los Angeles, preparing the opening for his upcoming solo exhibition at Corey Helford Gallery. “Going Nowhere Fast” will be showcasing an entirely new body of work by the artist and opens on April 9th.

Real Skateboards x D Face
London based street artist and skater D•Face has teamed up with REAL for collection of skate decks. D•Face created 3 decks specific to Pete Ramondetta, Dennis Busenitz and Justin Brock. In addition, D•Face painted a huge replica of one of the graphics on a wall in London and Justin Brock flew in to skate the actual painting. Available now at select skate shops.

D*Face "Riot" Print

Artist D*Face has worked on a new print along some other interesting new works. This edition was created during a 2 week residency with the master printers at Modern Multiples in Los Angeles. “Riot” was printed in 3 versions; 4 on Antique Road-Sign Metal, 4 on Antique Wooden Board, and of course a limited run of 50 sheets of 320gsm coventry archival paper. Wood and Metal are Hand-Finished by D*Face; sanded, airbrushed, aged, and presented in a tray frame.
