Slinging gear since 1999 over the web, Digital Gravel has collaborated with friends a few times. To start 2009, they’re flipping the script a bit, and slinging gear for a purpose. On sale now is a group of collaborative projects with brands from The Hundreds to Foreign Family, all offered with the aim of raising funds for a clean water pump in Africa. In all, ten brands are contributing, their design being printed on extremely limited runs of crewnecks, hoodies and t-shirts. Catch them before they drift off, and feel good about yourself for doing so.

With the holidays not far away anymore, we see more and more pop-up stores open up. Last weekend the Paper Mag store, next weekend the Reebok “Flash” store in NYC and today we come across more pop-up store news. Digital Gravel, online retailer extraordinaire, will be opening up shop in Los Angeles from November 12th until January 15th.

In an ongoing effort to secure Democratic hopeful Barack Obama’s presidential bid, Upper Playground and Digital Gravel, the premier online store for urban apparel brands, have partnered to produce a limited-edition line of Obama t-shirts featuring selective artwork from the Upper Playground x Barack Obama print series.

The Obama graphic t-shirts will showcase the sold out poster designs created by The Date Farmers, Munk One, Sam Flores, Alex Pardee, Grotesk, Morning Breath, and Ron English via Upper Playground. Under 300 t-shirts were made for each graphic, and the retail price for each t-shirt is $20. All t-shirts will be available in men’s and women’s sizes. The new merchandise will be available exclusively at DigitalGravel.com.

All proceeds from the sales of the t-shirts will go directly towards creating new promotional projects in support of Obama’s bid for President up until the election in November.

Juxtapoz Art & Culture Magazine tee shirts feature the work of guest designers, three of which have landed at Digital Gravel. Nate Van Dyke offers a tongue-in-cheek image of a chimp dropping a number 2. Jeremy Fish plays on an image of a tank, replacing the gun with a paint brush. Pictured above, KofieOne’s "Art Hand" tee melds the blueprint with a loose graffiti hand style.

The new Twelve Bar Spring 2008 collection has been released at Digital Gravel. They got in t-shirts, crewneck sweaters, hoodies, as well as some jackets and shirts. Our favorite pieces in this first drop are for sure the Andretti Racing Jacket and the Selvedge Herringbone Shirt.

Some more of the new Mishka Spring 2008 collection has arrived at Digital Gravel. Most interesting in this drop is the “Death Adders” Camo Luggage Collection. The brand offers a backpack and a duffel bag in three camo colorways.

Mishka has released their Spring 2008 collection these past days. Digital Gravel is among the first to carry a nice selection of the new line. The brand continues to offer a large and strong selection of cut & sew items. Included in this first drop are some nice jackets, shorts as well as t-shirts.

A collaborative effort by Worldwide and Digital Gravel. When Ivan Jimenez and Nima Navabi met in 2006 they knew something made them similar: Similar tastes and similar effort to build and hustle to run things. 2 years later, both want to make a homage to their hustle by releasing this “Worldwide Marathon” T-Shirt, a tee for hustlers in this game we all play in.

Limited to 150 units worldwide, this tee pays homage to the WORLDWIDE and DIGITAL GRAVEL family all over the world, with a lot of hidden messages all over.
“First, the big year in the front, is 1977, the year Ivan Jimenez, head of WORLDWIDE was born, then the CREAM TEAM is the “Cash Rules Everything Around Me” song from Wu-Tang Clan and their need of money and luxurious life. The “Running things” is the fact of running a brand, a shop, anything you need to make things work, and by “Hustlers Marathon” we all in a  race to get there right? And hey, it doesn’t stop in your city, or in your country, we all travelling all over the world and expanding our thing! The “Established in 2006″ is the first time Ivan and Nima met, to build a hustlers relationship that still lasts.”

On the back of the tee the “Los Angeles-Barcelona” distance from city to city and the logos of both brands.

Digital Gravel has received a new line-up of Estevan Oriol t-shirts. The t-shirts feature photos and designs by the artist. The line-up is very strong, so definitely worth checking out.

Most of you should have heard about the Diggers Society, a program by Digital Gravel, where you sign up for an entire year and then get t-shirts exclusively designed for the Diggers Society.
