Direct from Paris, is a full look at Kris van Assche’s Christian Dior mens Fall 2012 runway collection. Featuring an exclusive remix of Woodkid’s “Iron” as the musical backdrop, the show, entitled “A Solider on My Own,” took on a casual military theme with officer’s green and khaki tones throughout, as well as a mix of sportswear, including inside out jackets, baseball caps and aviator sunglasses. Overall an impressive yet accessible collection.

For months rumors are coming up on who will take over the prestigious open creative director seat over at Dior, after the unfortunate departure of Galliano. Now Raf Simons seems to be the candidate of choice. According to Vogue, the brand and the designer are just finalizing the contract. It will be interesting to see what will happen with Jil Sander, where he is creative director at the moment. Also the minimalist aesthetic of Raf Simons is quite far away from the Dior look. Who knows what changes the designer might bring to the historic fashion house. Hopefully we know more in the coming weeks.

We continue our street style report from Paris Fashion Week, after having reported from Rick Owens yesterday. Today the Dior and Martin Margiela shows went down and as you can imagine these are two of the most important shows on schedule. As such a massive crowd of people showed up for the two shows, resulting in the Parisian police having some trouble getting organized.

From Carine Roitfeld and Olivier Zahm, to up and coming French actress Roxanne Mesquida, and the who is who of magazine editors, everybody was there. The style range of people was really wide, with everything from Givenchy Spring/Summer ‘12 to Supreme and Louboutin on view.

Luxury brands are not entirely new in the world of tech gadgets. We have seen mobile phone from others before. Dior presents their latest mobile phone this week – a sleek looking touch screen phone with custom ringtones and menu, 3G, camera, mineral glass, MP3 player, WI-FI and Bluetooth connectivity. A couple of years ago these luxury phones could never really compete in our mind with the top tier range in the market, mainly due to bad operating systems. Today they can simply use Android, which makes them already much stronger.

The new Dior mobile phone is now available from colette.

Dior has released a new brushed stainless steel timepiece, the Chiffre Rogue T01. Timezone reports.

“The Dior 8 Fuseaux Horaires caliber displays three items of information on the same index: local time, time in eight cities worldwide and day/night.

It was created by movement designers Franck Orny and Johnny Girardin, who previously worked for the “Institut Minerva de Recherche en Haute Horlogerie” to create the Montblanc Metamorphosis chronograph.

The case, in brushed stainless steel, measures 42mm. It has double sapphire crystals and is water resistant to 50 meters.”

Former Dior footwear creative director, Pierre Hardy first launched his high top collection back in 2006. Three years later, and you can still count on him to bring something new to the table. This season, Hardy experiments with new, luxurious materials, while keeping the same silhouette that put him on the high top map in the beginning. The model pictured above is made up of suede with patent lining.
