Artist Kev Munday was commissioned by Disney to produce a 12″ large Mickey Mouse vinyl figure. The toy will be exhibited at Times Square in New York from June 28th until August 2nd, along with other artworks celebrating the cartoon character.

Japanese label Beams returns for their second year as an official sponsor for the Fuji Rock Festival. Contributing a series of original t-shirts, shopping bags as well as event staff t-shirts, Beams collaborated with Over The Stripes and Disney on two Mickey and Minnie mouse pieces with obvious musical references. The brand also contributed two surf and guitar influenced graphics. The Fuji Rock Festival 2009 takes place at the Naeba Ski Resort in Niigata Prefecture, Japan from Friday, July 24th to Sunday, July 26th. The t-shirts are now available at Beams.

The Bloc28 by Disney project continues with the release of a vinyl toy. Japanese designer Tenga turned his Mickey Mouse character from a 2D drawing into a 3D figure with the help  of the good people from MINDstyle. The outcome is a 15 inches tall figure with a wingspan of 22 inches. You can expect a launch of the figure some time this summer in Hong Kong.

Disney is currently promoting their upcoming Star Wars weekends in May and June and to do so, they produced a series of ads. Each ad features one of your favorite characters from the movies. The ads are fun and also look great, making it an overall well executed campaign. Via BBC/Ice Cream.

After previously releasing Mickey and Mini Mouse, A Bathing Ape has once again worked with Disney, this time on Donald Duck. The famous character comes in the form of a plush toy and features white and yellow camo patterns. Matching, Donald comes wrapped in a white camo pouch. The Bape x Disney Donald Duck Plush Toy is now available at Bape stores.

The latest Span of Sunset, Inc. x Disney collaboration: new colorway of Cheshire Cat vinyl figure under the moniker “Opening Day aka Mannymania” has been unveiled for immediate release. The Cheshire Cat vinyl figure is based upon Lewis Carroll’s character from Alice in Wonderland, here reborn into a three dimensional form by Span of Sunset, Inc. “Opening Day aka Mannymania” Cheshire Cat vinyl figure takes its colors from the original white and blue scheme and is instantly recognizable!

Produced in a limited quantity, the Cheshire Cat measures 8″, features a GID mouth and eyes, and comes in its own white/blue stripe themed box. Hot Dogs and seasonal tickets are not included!

Korean artist Kim Songhe has produced interesting pieces for some time now and worked in the past with Medicom and Silly Thing. Here we show you her “Disney” Chandelier. The lamp is made of Disney plush toys, certainly making for an interesting look. The chandelier is now available at Tokyo Cultuart.

The newest Span of Sunset, Inc. X Disney collaboration has been unveiled with the immediate release of their vinyl figure Cheshire Cat in its latest color way – GOTH. The Cheshire Cat vinyl figure is based upon Lewis Carroll’s character from Alice in Wonderland, here reborn into a 3D form by Span of Sunset, Inc. This Cheshire Cat picks up inspiration from goth music and lifestyle, representing it in an all black color with vivid purple stripes.

After a first preview a while ago, we can now present you the complete line-up of the Etnies Plus x Disney Spring 2009 collection.

The etnies x Disney Co:Labs high-top Upsetter and lo-top Sly for the men’s collection feature images of classic Disney cartoons such as Evil Lord and Mickey Mouse. The Fantasia collection chronicles the famous “Night on Bald Mountain” cartoon which is based on a Slavic myth about spirits in the night. Both the Sly and Upsetter shoes draw inspiration from this legend with use of dark grey and black base colors, hinted by shades of bright purple. The Plane Crazy collection features the Sly 2 and Upsetter shoes in brown and tan tones, which is pulled from the infamous Mickey Mouse cartoon in which he tries to mimic the flying adventures of Charles Lindbergh.

The etnies x Disney Co:Labs collection for women consists of the Zanza shoe embellished with images of Tinkerbell and the cult classic film Fantasia. The Tinkerbell shoe is the ultimate female indulgence, portraying one of Disney’s most beloved and sassy characters, lined with gold leather.
