Dita still is keeping it light in terms of sunglasses for the Fall 2011 season. This range of shades looks like something Ace Rothstein would wear at the resort due to the retro styling, but they translate well into modern times.

Following the announcement of DITA and Thom Browne’s new project, we can now take a closer look at the debut collection for FW11. “While DITA provide superior construction and craftsmenship, the aesthetic is defined by Browne’s signature sensibilities. The focus for the collection is derived from architects, politicians, studio artists, designers and professors from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s while each piece is completed with the signatiure tri-color red, white and blue branding.”

visvim continues to work on eyewear with premium brand Dita. For Fall/Winter 2010 they once again present a beautiful Zyle acetate frame in two colorways with titanium hardware, high quality lenses. Also the sunglasses come with elk leather leather patches that can be attached to the arms and a beautiful case also comes along with each pair. The sunglasses are now available from Union (storeguide).

Once again Neighborhood links up with Dita to work on some new sunglasses. For Fall/Winter 2010 they decided to go with the “Douglas” rider sunglasses. They come in two colorways with only minimal branding opportunities offered by the very thin frame. Via Milk.

MADEYOULOOKS is a new fun sunglass brand by Dr. Romanelli and Dita. As part of the SoBe Squamata series, a project by Dr. Romanelli, they worked on a Carrera style silhouette, which is available in three colorways – Black, Strawberry and Grape.

“A collaboration between MADEYOULOOKS and SoBe Squamata ­ a classic Carrera style flipped in a never before seen strawberry-red colorway inspired by the Strawberry Kiwi Lemonade SoBe Lifewater, deep purple inspired by Syrah Grape Berry SoBe Lifewater and the midnight black inspired by the Black and Blue Berry SoBe Lifewater with all styles featuring the iconic SoBe lizard detailed on the frame. Dita presents three more new styles for 2010. First up is the third installment to the Grandmaster series – larger and more demanding than it’s predecessors. The Landmark follows in the success of the Dita Ambassador, bringing about a large square version. The Prestige is a modern optical frame with subtle details (after the jump). For 2010, Dita presents three new sunglass styles. The Condor and Sparrow are all new aviator-influenced shapes with titanium frames, two-tone metal plating, and titanium nose pads. Due to high demand Dita is now officially offering the Insider with tinted lenses (previously only available as Optical). All styles are manufactured in Japan and feature UV protected lenses. Dedicated to those who drive themselves towards unparalleled achievements, Dita presents a new collection of high-end, performance driven eyewear entitled Lancier. The debut collection sees three different aviator-style frames, adorned with top-notch details including interchangable quick release temples, LAND, SEA or AIR markings (designating the intended use) and a unique serial number. Casing is done is premium leather. The initial release is limited to only 450 pieces, at a selection of hand picked accounts. A list of those accounts can be found on the Lancier website.

After previous collaborations with Japanese brand Neighborhood, DITA has now worked with Hong Kong’s CLOT crew on the “FDTD” sunglasses. CLOT got to create their very own frame for the collaboration and will be releasing it soon at their Juice retail store in Hong Kong in limited quantities. Via Kevin Poon.

Dita and Neighborhood continue to work on collaborative eyewear, also for Fall/Winter 2009. The Batmobile shades have been released these past days. The sunglasses come in all black and in black/white and are now available in the honeyee.store.
