Today we can present you the October releases from the Neighborhood Fall/Winter 2009 “W.D.W.Y.F.W.” Collection. The Japanese brand presents a lot of strong product in this release, including shirts, t-shirts, pants, hoodies, jackets and also nice accessories.

Collaborations in this release include Dita sunglasses, Champion fleece hoodies and Clark Desert Boots, that you also see here above.

For the second time this season Neighborhood has worked with Dita on some new shades – the Nomad Sunglasses. The sunglasses come in an updated frame and lense color for this season, after first being introduced in Fall/Winter 2008. The new style is now available from the honeyee.store.

Dita presents three new styles for summer: the Holiday, Solitaire and Copious. While the Holiday and Solitaire are very similar in shape, the sizing is quite different. The Holiday is about the same size as Dita’s Supa Dupa, while the Solitaire is a smaller more reserved version. Both styles comes in new colors, including turquoise to lavender and purple to smoke crystal gradients. The Copious is a nice large plastic aviator style frame. Although these styles are not for everyone, if you can pull them off they’re definitely a good look. Now available at Dita Legends.

Dita presents their new Challenger sunglasses just in time for summer. The frame comes in three colorways, made from titanium and carbon. Our favorite in the line-up is the matte black version. In terms of design we feel like the Challenger is a worthy update of a classic. You can purchase the new model now here.

Three new Dita Select Optical frames have arrived for Summer 2009. The Verve, The Lever, and The Rambler each come in a variety of color-ups ranging from Dark Tortoise and Black on Black Swirl, to the more adventurous Black to Clear Fade, as well as a solid Bone White style. Each frame is handcrafted in Japan from Zyl Acetate with custom Hex Rivets. Although these styles were designed as optical frames, sunglass tinting is available on request, making each a worthy alternative to the standard Wayfarer-esque style they were inspired by. Both Visvim and Neighborhood worked this season with Dita to produce some quality sunglasses. Neighborhood worked with Dita on the Pursuit model. It comes in a black/white and the flipped white/black colorway, nicely wrapped in a black box. Visvim comes back with their collaborative model with Dita in four colorways this season and like before, the sunglasses come in a beautiful elk leather pouch in black or brown. Both the Neighborhood x Dita and the Visvim x Dita sunglasses are now available at the honeyee.store.

Dita has released their new Featherlite Series, which got its name because of the super light titanium frame construction. The series is entirely made in Japan at the highest quality standards. For men the series offers the Avocet and Osprey styles, both coming in several colorways and now available at Dita retailers.

On March 12th Dita Eyewear will be opening a pop-up store at On Pedder in Hong Kong. They will also use this special occasion to launch their new Gold Collection.

“Dita has developed custom mirrored lenses using authentic 24k white and yellow gold. Dita has created these lenses by using an extraordinary and privileged technology that takes the precious metal and compresses it between two lenses preventing the common problem of scratched mirrored lenses. The two fused lenses prevent the gold mirror from being rubbed or scratched off; creating a lens that will not lose its luster.

Dita will offer this exclusive lens technology in the following frames: Dynasty, Voulez Vous, Ambassador, and Midnight Special. Global production will be limited to 75 pieces per style in each lens color. The frame colors will match the lens colors.”

Dita is releasing new models in their Sun Collection 2009. We present you here a look at the Spectator and the Selector models, each coming in a variety of colorways this season.

The Spectator comes in Black with a Smoke Back, Smoke with a Black Back and Tortoise with a Burnt Brown Back. The Selector comes in Black with a Black Swirl Back, D.Tortoise with a Coffee-Caramel Back and Honey Tortoise (also in White Swirl, but only available in Japan) Both frames feature Polarized Glass lenses as opposed to their standard CR-39 (synthetic glass) lenses. The glasses are all manufactured in Japan.

Here is a first look at one of the new frames from the Dita Spring 2009 collection, entitled “The Statesman”. The name perfectly discribes the looks of the frame, which nicely puts together a more heavy Wayfarer with a lighter metal based design. “The Statesman” comes in overall four colorways and is already now available for purchase.
