The DJ AM Nike Dunk Hi has certainly been one of the most hyped Nike releases in some time. Originally part of the DJ Rivalry pack with the DJ Premier AF1 (though the rivalry aspect has been muted out of respect) the sneaker combines a great color way with interesting details. ”What else would you expect from a legendary sneakerhead? Red leather uppers with contrasting black patent leather and silver swoosh. The dots on the heels represent the turntable markings. AC/DC style DJ AM logo on tongue and also a beefed up insole. Also come with red, black and silver shoelaces.” Available this Saturday, January 9th at select retailers such as Classic Kicks NYC. R.I.P. DJ AM.

Right before his tragic death, news came out that DJ AM had been working with Nike on a Dunk sneaker collection. Today we can show you some detailed images of one of them. The Nike Dunk High Premium Quickstrike “DJ AM” comes in a black/red colorway with reflective 3M accents. The red comes in regular premium leather and the black comes in patent leather. The Swoosh is light grey. The heel features a perforation that can be removed to reveal reflective 3M. The tongue of the sneaker is decorated with a DJ AM logo tag. The sneaker is now available from Kasina.

DJ AM has been collecting sneakers for almost 10 years (over 900 pairs) and was respected in the sneaker world for his expertise in the subject matter. The DJ AM Memorial Fund has gotten together with eBay, Deckstar and Undefeated to organize the DJ AM Charity Auction. All proceeds of the sales will go to organizations and projects committed to addressing issues of addiction and recovery.

The auction starts at 4:30 PM PST on November 15th. New sneakers will be added to the auction every night until the first week of December, so make sure to check back on a regular basis.

DJ AM will be performing at the Undefeated Black Friday party. For the occasion the two got together for a collaborative t-shirt. The t-shirt will be released on November 28th at all Undefeated Chapter Stores and in the e-store. All the proceeds go to AccessHelp.

Just this morning we gave you a look at the Plus 41 "Roger Federer" installation at the Nike 0808 store in Berlin. For the occasion there was also a follow-up eventafterwards. In a small round of 20 people, Nike invited for dinner at the Shiro iShiro in Berlin, a great Asian fusion restaurant inside the Lux 11 hotel.

For the after party Nike invited together with LiveDemo DJ AM to perform. The event took place on a Tuesday night, and the 200 + people that attended (including us) had a great time for sure. DJ AM did a great job choosing the right mood for the evening. A good sign for a great party is always when it is supposed to stop at 1am and ends up going on until 3am.

Freshness reports about the Pepsi event that took place at Recon/Nort NYC. The event was the start of a Pepsi artist collaboration series, Premium Goods, that will continue with collaboration bottles with WESC, DJ AM and others.
At the event they did not only reveal the Pepsi x Nort bottle, designed by Stash, they also revealed the new Nort x Jason Markk sneaker cleaning set. After the Jason Markk x Undefeated collaboration, this makes perfectly sense for NYC.
