Boot brand Palladium’s latest expedition takes them to the rooftops London’s inner city, where they explore Pirate Radio. “Born in the 1960’s, the original pirates found an offshore base of operations in rusting anti-aircraft towers standing in the mouth of the River Thames. These strange structures remain today and Palladium took a boat ride to climb aboard and see where pirate radio started. Today, pirate radio is everywhere in London, hidden in plain sight. While the internet is changing the landscape of radio broadcasting, the pirate’s role of breaking new music remains the same.” The London Pirate Radio documentary is now playing here.

Radcollector puts us on to “The Get By”, an HBO documentary about skateboarding in New York City. “HBO has been pushing the hell out of their series “How to Make it in America” and as part of their efforts have just dropped this mini-documentary, “The Get By” about being a skater and making it in the industry in the dopest city in the world. It’s impossible to front on all the ill footage of NYC skatespots and interviews with Billy Rohan, Gino Iannucci, Anthony Pappalardo, Zered Basset, Todd Jordan and many more, but you can’t help but think it’s a little suspect that HBO produced this very real documentary just to hype a fake show. Maybe they should make “The Get By” a series and drop the other one.”
