To commemorate the opening of the eagerly-awaited Ron Herman store in Japan, the LA-based retailer collaborated with mastermind Japan on a set of down outerwear. Taking a detail-oriented approach, the pieces were styled in a distinctive America meets Japan aesthetic, with mastermind’s staple black on black vibe taking center stage. Manufactured and sold exclusively in Japan, the FUCT- SSDD (Same Shit Different Day) collection is inspired by classic, traditional American style. One of the staple items in the collection is the “Kowalski Jacket”, clearly referencing the 1971 cinema classic Vanishing Point. 100% nylon, windproof fabric, snap button front storm flap with inside zip, 2 exterior pockets and woven patch details are just a few of the features of the jacket. The jacket is available in two color ways, Matte Black and Royal Blue.

Once again an impressive piece by FUCT. Let’s hope the SSDD will make it into a couple of stores outside of Japan.

First pieces of the iDiom Fall/Winter 2008 collection have been released at Japanese retailers. The first drop includes the packable down vest and down jacket. Both come in a black and green colorway, quilted, and feature all the technical details that one would expect from the brand.
These pieces are now available at Shaft.

We have already presented to you the new Moncler collection as well as the Junya Watanabe collaboration collection that has been going forward for a few seasons already.
Here you see now a special colorway of the Moncler Everest jacket, one of their classics, made for Beams Japan. It comes with a camouflage pattern running on the entire upper. It’s a nice upgrade for such an all-time classic!

This retro technical down jacket features all the latest innovations from Nike, with a lot of great pocketing, a full vent zip, detachable fur on the hood and a snowlock. The all-over photoprint is inspired by 80’s winter sports and once you have a closer look at the pics, you can only start laughing!

This week Bounty X Hunter has released some more pieces of their Holiday 2007 collection. This drop mainly consists of outerwear and accessories.
They released a classic Varsity Jacket, a pea coat, down jackets and quilted shirts. The down jackets and quilted shirts come in several colorways. Branding is rather subtle on most pieces in this drop.
In terms of accessories the brand released sunglasses. They released two colorways of the classic Wayfairer model and another more modern style, also in two colorways.

Japanese brand Affa just released a new down jacket as part of their Fall/Winter 2007 collection. The jacket comes in overall four colorways and has a very interesting “diamond” pattern running over it. Aside from the solid black colorway with the red zipper, the other colorways have a 70’s feel, mainly due to the mix of colors on the upper.

Head Porter Plus released these last couple of weeks most of their Fall/Winter 2007 outerwear. In the line-up you find down jackets, down vests, varsity jackets and a pea coat. Each piece comes in a line-up of 5 colors. Both the varsity jacket and the pea coat feature a warm quilted inner lining. Just like we are used from the brand, the pieces stay simple in terms of look, but all come in premium quality and have a great attention to detail.

Japanese brand Gallery 1950 has released some nice new outerwear as part of their Fall/Winter 2007 collection. A few weeks ago we reported about their Gore-Tex jackets. They came in black with multicolor zippers. Now the brand released the matching down jackets made with Gore-Windstopper material. They also released a nice plaid pea coat, an instant classic this season and close to what we saw from Number (N)ine this season.

Nexus VII, a brand that has been around for years already, is recently attracting our attention on a regular basis because of their smart and functional clothing. The brand always brings together innovative materials and mixes that with classic pieces, always with a bit of a twist. We already presented you the Gore-Tex pinstripe jackets that were released this season, here is now another highlight.
Nexus VII just released the Gore-Windstopper down jacket. It comes in blue and in black and features the same adjustable cuffs, like the Gore-Tex jacket. The subtle tonal logo application and satin inner lining make it a great piece to have for this season.
