In celebration of their 20th Anniversary, Toronto men’s fashion destination Uncle Otis teamed up with local Canadian label Canada Goose to put a UO twist the staple Constable silhouette. The Uncle Otis version features an updated modern fit (closer the the Japanese CG models) in black Ottoman-weave Artic-Tech fabric with removable coyote fur trim and a detachable hood.

Further tweaks include exposed gunmetal zippers, military style buttons (rather than Velcro), a fleece lined neck and a tonal black-on-black Canada Goose logo patch. Overall one of our favorite Canada Goose jackets of all time. Now available exclusively through Uncle Otis.

On Thursday, November 17, 2011, Penfield will launch an online competition revolving around one of their original styles: the Summit down jacket.

Entitled ‘Race for the Summit’ the initiate invites web users to embark on an online quest in search for the answers to ten clues – the first of which will be revealed through Penfield’s website. The clues will lead participants on an online trail around a selection of influential blogs and websites… Once the answer has been found, the participant enters it via the competition page within their penfieldusa.com account and, if correct, the next clue is revealed. Two clues are released each week culminating in the final clue to be given out on December 15th, 2011.

The winners will be announced on December 20th, 2011 with a very special first prize of a one-off, custom-made ‘Race for the Summit’ premium down insulated parka (as seen above.) In addition, 3 classic Summit down insulated parkas, 5 Outback down insulated vests and 20 Sanford beanies from Penfield’s Fall/Winter 2011 collection are available to runners-up. Have fun..

In this respect, they have released a brand new navy version of the classic Stapleton down jacket in a limited run of 50 pieces. The vintage-inspired jacket features a brown leather shoulder yoke and contrast yellow lining, and is now available exclusively through Penfield’s US online store.

Up and coming brand Limoland has gotten together with Cescent to work on goose down jackets. As you can see the turn-out is rather colorful, in fact similar to some of this seasons Penfield down jackets.

Limoland and Crescent will be hosting a launch cocktail party at Colette on September 29th. There you will not only be able to check out the new jackets, but you can order your very own custom Limoland x Crescent goose down jacket. Overall one will have the choice between 15 colors.

We present you some of the latest interesting pieces of the Undercover Autumn/Winter2008 "UnrealReal Clothes" collection. This time the brand remixed two classics – the duck boot and the down jacket. The duck boot comes with a mixed suede/rubber upper and two zippers on the front. The down jacket has been fused with the leather biker jacket. The body comes from the classic down coat and the sleeves come from the biker jacket. Overall they present four colorways of the jacket. Pics via Jun Takashi.

Fragment designed the latest Neighborhood down jacket that was released today at the Honeyee Store. The jacket come in black and white, each colorway coming in three different versions, with different colors of the design around the neck, which gives the jackets a native feel.

Earlier this season we already presented to you the first part of the Moncler x Junya Watanabe collection. Now they added some more pieces to it, which you should be seeing in stores such as Dover Street Market and Comme des Garcons flagship stores this month.
In the first drop they released some more preppy pieces, with the stand-out piece beeing the down blazer. In this second drop they worked on some more sporty styles for the eYe collection. As usual it is great to see the best down jackets in the world being remixed by one of our favorite designers, who is also probably the best in the world at remixing classics.
