Bounty Hunter reinforces the Japanese obsession with leopard print through their latest release. The reversible down vest is black on one side and leopard on the other. Unlike the Wacko Maria offering, this one forgoes the hair effect for printed nylon.

After just announcing their partnership with Japanese brand Visvim for a line called Moncler V, the classic outerwear label now brings news of a collection by Grammy-winning musician Pharrell Williams. The collection features an assortment of all-black jackets, and includes a “pacifist” version of the bulletproof jacket (pictured) with Velcro-ed side slits, reversible matte/shiny down vests and elongated puffers.

Each jacket is built with textiles from Bionic Yarn, a Pharrell controlled company that produces fabric from recycled plastic bottles. Furthermore, printed linings feature images of lush forests, shot at dusk by Japanese artist Keita Sugiura. Prices and distribution details are yet to be finalized.

For September, we are met with a multitude of differing styles ranging from pile fleece and melange button downs to headwear, accessories and denim. The latest collection of Dr. Romanelli, entitled “University of DrX”, has been shipped to Sophnet, who will present it as part of their Spring/Summer 2009 Collection in Sophnet stores. The collection consists of down vests, featuring a vast amount of details and characteristics from university sports clothing. All vests are made from classic letterman jackets and collegiate sweaters from the 1940’s to 1980’s.

The collection is now available at Sophnet Tokyo.
