The DQM Fall hat collection, which includes an A.Z. five panel camp cap made from water resistant Ultrex fabric and the “Thanks for Nothin’” six panel baseball cap and many more styles will be available this Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 3rd Street and The Vans DQM General.

Seattle based Crescent Down Works get to work with DQM this season to create a cross season version of their Montagne Parka. Using an American made Martexin Original Wax waxed cotton fabric to create a custom, water repellent but breathable outer shell will stand harsh weather conditions. The parka features Crescent Down Works’ signature streak free nylon liner and leather reinforced buttons, and is finished with custom DQM labeling. Coming in both black with an orange rust liner, and tan with a navy liner, the DQM x Crescent Down Works Montagne Parka is available exclusively at The Vans DQM General on 93 Grand St now, and will be available online this Monday 3rd October.

Vans & DQM joined forces to create The Vans DQM General store in SoHo. To celebrate the opening of the store Suicidal Tendencies performed at the House of Vans, while Ray Barbee and the Mattson 2 played at the store.

Vans and DQM proudly opened the doors to the Vans DQM General retail store in SOHO on Thursday, September 15 and capped off the first day of business with a party for several hundred friends and family that evening. Located at 93 Grand, the Vans DQM General is Vans’ first store in Manhattan and the co-branded project with local skate and streetwear purveyor DQM is the first of a kind in the United States for Vans (preceded by the Vans by OTH Shop in Montreal, Canada).

Expect to find the newest cut & sew and accessories from DQM, the latest from Vans across several lines including Classics, California, Surf, OTW, Skate and Vault collections and a nice selection of boards, wheels and trucks – all in a setting that beautifully nods to SOHO’s unique heritage and personality.

Ray Barbee and the Mattson 2 helped to make the night complete with a solid jam session.

DQM announces the opening of their new cooperative store together with Vans – the Vans DQM General.

“The store is located in the heart of Soho at 93 Grand Street, in a landmark building and a neighborhood full of history. The General will not only carry on the mindset, respect and authenticity of DQM, but teams it up with the knowledge and values of Vans, to cater to the growing skateboarding and lifestyle community in New York City and beyond.

The General will carry a curated selection of Vans footwear and apparel for men, women and kids; DQM apparel; and a small collection of DQM for VANS designed apparel and footwear available only at the New York store.”

The store has a great vintage inspired interior design with many nice details.

Today Vans and DQM announced a retail partnership store New York City. The Vans DQM General will open its doors September 2011 in New York City’s SoHo district. Located at 93 Grand Street, the historic space was designed in the late 1800’s by John Snook, who also designed the first Grand Central Station. We cannot wait to see the final space and will of course report of the opening. This marks the first Vans dedicated retail space in New York City.
