DQM presents a new series of coach jackets. The jackets feature a waxed cotton upper and soft jersey lining. They come in three colorways and are now available in store.

After the Hufquake colorway of the sneaker, we can finally show you some detailed images of the Nike Air Max Current Huarache DQM. The “Bacon” colorway that Dave’s Quality Meat came out with on an Air Max a few years back, returns on this new hybrid model from Nike. A release date has not been announced yet, but we will keep you posted.

Dave’s Quality Meat out of New York City produce some of the most classic headwear hands down. As you’ve seen from a number of different labels, hunting is all the rage for Fall 2009. The latest release from Crazy Dave and The Meatfits stays the path with duck canvas New Eras, Buck Huntin’ mesh caps, watch caps, and a special release Stormy Kromer for DQM WaxWear cap. Made in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Stormy Kromer has been providing genuine survival gear since 1919. In other words, this cap is timeless. Out next Friday September 11, 2009.

In an interesting collaboration, Crescent Down Works got together with Dave’s Quality Meat. Together they worked on the classic Montagne Parka, which comes in navy and in tan. The jacket comes in a 60/40 cloth shell, rip stop nylon lining, leather toggles and reinforced buttons. All in all a very solid collaboration. The jackets will be released on September 11th.

New York City sneaker boutique Dave’s Quality Meat hooked up with Oakley on a pair of their now iconic Frogskins. The sunglasses feature a beef patterned frame and gold Iridium lenses, along with a matching DQM-logoed soft case.

50 pairs of DQM x Oakley Frogskins will be released today, August 25th, 2009 in store at DQM.

The signature shoe of several time world tennis champion, and still legendary George ‘Rod’ Laver, the adidas Rod Laver has been a mainstay for the brand, and now a central part of the Originals range since its 1970 launch. The key to its success? Utter simplicity. In line with court decorum and regulations of the era, the famous 3-Stripes were shorn for this shoe, and the purity of the Rod Laver set something of a standard for sneaker design – the move to pare down the corporate identity and let the silhouette do the talking is a landmark move too.

Beyond favourite colour combinations like the traditional white and green, the material mix of leather and mesh kept things breathable and lightweight without compromising looks. This bare bones approach gave the shoe an ageless quality. A follow-up, wider, chunkier in the sole and with added midsole and heel branding became another icon and a worldwide Summer standard, notably deified in NYC as the timeless hot weather choice.

Almost forty years after the original design’s introduction, it’s back in a tweaked form, retaining its iconic classicism for an ambitious adidas Originals Consortium project.  Nine global Consortium partners, each famed for their innovative approach to retail, were given the Rod Laver to rework with their choice of colours, fabrics and more for release in extremely limited numbers at Consortium stores throughout August and September 2009.

We present you the first drop of the project, consisting of collabortions with DQM, Undefeated, Limiteditions and VA.

For the release this coming weekend of the Vans “3 Feet High” Project, a collaboration of the sneaker brand with Kicks/Hi, DQM and Huf on the Half Cab, Kicks Hawaii has produced a nice lookbook. The lookbook showcases the three sneakers, as well as the collaborative t-shirt that Kicks/Hi produced for the release next Saturday, 27th of June.

We get a first teaser look at the upcoming collaboration of Dave’s Quality Meat (DQM) and Oakley on the iconic Frogskin sunglasses. It looks like DQM chose the color of beef for the frame and added yellow lenses. More news on the release of the DQM x Oakley Frogskins to follow soon.

After reporting on the Undefeated and Nike Sportwear project CTRS earlier today, we are already able to offer more news on the concept. As we mentioned, it’s all about cycling and the previously announced Nike Sportwears Tiempo “The Cutters” Pack is a part of this same project. As you may have guessed CTRS is short for The Cutters, a group of 8 worldwide riders including Undefeated’s Jupiter Desphy, DQM’s Kyle Demers and Lance Armstrong himself.

Undefeated La Brea is now holding a contest to win a UNDFTD/CTRS fixed gear bike. The bike was built in Japan by UNDFTD and a Master kierin race bike builder, and is a fully functional 54cm, left side drive bicycle. To enter to win is easy. Just cruise down to the shop on La Brea, buy a Livestrong band for 1 buck, receive a form to enter and win. Of course, all proceeds go toward the research for the cure of cancer. All other UNDFTD locations will have bands and forms in the very near future.

As usual the brand/store presents a nice and solid line-up of t-shirts, with graphics evolving around their lifestyle and brand. The t-shirts will be released along with the caps on June 11th.
