Dr. Martens iconic 8-eye boot will be turning 50 next year, but with slight tweaks it looks like a fresh, new product. For Spring/Summer 2010, the brand will release a series of 1460 boots in school colours with white soles. The upper material may look like canvas, but is actually TecTuff Express leather, so you can expect durability and water-resistant properties.
Details include contrast triple-stitching, flat white laces, silver eyelets, and a white heel loop with black “Air Wair with Bouncing Soles” slogan. The boots come in seven colours: ecru, yellow, red, purple, blue, green and black.

In the latest installation of the popular Guitar Hero series of video games, you’ll be able to outfit your avatar with a variety of branded products from the likes of Converse, Vans and Dr. Martens. Those of you familiar with the Tony Hawk series know this is nothing new for Activision, however; this round they’ve taken it one step further and are offering styles that cross over into retail.

For this project, Dr. Martens outfitted the iconic 14-Hole Boot with a simple leather guitar silhouette over the heel panel. For men, the boot comes in black or cherry leather with a white or black patent guitar, respectively. There’s no blatant Guitar Hero branding on the product, which is a big plus in our books. Keeping the famous yellow stitching was also a good move. Of course, includes Bouncing Air Wair soles. Guitar Hero 5 officially hits stores on September 11, 2009.

Out of the new Raf Simons x Dr. Martens Fall/Winter 2009 Collection, the 8 Hole Boot is probably the most subtle and easy to wear style. It comes this season in burgundy and in black. Made from solid leather, the boots have a reinforced heel and ankle, stitch detailed upper and burgundy stitched air wair sole; eyelets are brass. These limited edition boots have a Raf Simons x Dr. Marten branded pull tag at the top of the heel. They are now available in both colorways at Oki-Ni.

Usually white and black are as subtle as it gets, but when looking at this new Dr. Martens White Combat Boot, it could not be flashier and more attention seeking. Both the upper and the outer sole come in crisp white. The boot is now available at Oak.

After several previews we are finally get close to the release of the Stussy Deluxe x Dr. Martens Desert Boot. The boot comes in three suede colorways – brown, grey and black. All three feature a white outer sole and a nice accent color, which is featured on the mid-sole, laces and on the heel. The boots will officially release on August 22nd in Japan and hopefully soon after in the US and Europe.

The other day we already showed you the metallic series from the Dr. Martens x Raf Simons Fall/Winter 2009 Footwear Collection. Here now  a look at the more toned down models of the collaboration. They present high rise boots and a loafer, coming in black, brown and bordeaux leathers. Look out for a release soon. Via honeyee.

Selectism put us on to these boots Dr. Marten’s worked up for the Ace Hotel staff out in NYC. “The Ace Hotel in NYC knows how to keep its staff proper. Following up further on the uniforms we covered last Friday, we now have a look at the custom 1460 Dr. Martens boot for Ace Hotel employees. The eight eyelet boot has a “subtle” custom leather embossment of a skeleton key on the rise.”

Dr. Martens continues to work on all fronts. The brand has put out lots of interesting boots in their main line these past months and also the collaborative efforts are appreciated. After working with Yohji Yamamoto and Raf Simons in the high fashion arena, they continue this Fall/Winter. Japanese retailer Beams got together with Dr. Martens and adds some nice premium wingtip details to their classic low top shoe. The shoe comes in a dark blue colorway, thick outdoor sole, yellow stitching, with overall minimal branding. The collaborative shoe will be released soon.

Once again Dr. Martens worked with Raf Simons for Fall/Winter 2009. The designer added some new flavors to the otherwise classic UK footwear range and worked with metallic colors this season. Different kind of low top and high top boots are featured in the line-up, all coming with gold, silver and bronze metallic uppers. Look out for a release in the coming months. Image via WAD Magazine.
