The latest collection of Dr. Romanelli, entitled “University of DrX”, has been shipped to Sophnet, who will present it as part of their Spring/Summer 2009 Collection in Sophnet stores. The collection consists of down vests, featuring a vast amount of details and characteristics from university sports clothing. All vests are made from classic letterman jackets and collegiate sweaters from the 1940’s to 1980’s.

The collection is now available at Sophnet Tokyo.

We give you a little preview of the upcoming Camp Romanelli Collection. Developed exclusively for Barneys Japan, the collection once again takes its inspiration from vintage clothing and this time in particular from outdoor vintage apparel and the boy scouts. Scout pieces from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s have inspired most pieces in this new Dr. Romanelli collection. The color palette used is very clean and coherent and the various patches used on all pieces tell great stories. Attention to detail was always Dr. Romanelli’s strength and is of course also the case this time.

The new Camp Romanelli Collection will be released towards the end of February at Barneys Japan.

Dr. Romanelli worked on a new down vest collection, entitled “Black Winter”, for Hong Kong based retailer Lane Crawford. All pieces of the collection have been created from vintage World War 2 fatigues and medic gear.

Once again impressive work from Dr. Romanelli. The entire line-up is strong and just like with all of his work, the pieces are all one-offs.

The Dr. Romanelli “Black Winter” Vest Collection will be released December 1rst at Lane Crawford in Hong Kong.

Dr. Romanelli gets together with A Love Movement’s Tetsuzo Okubo on the “Dr. Love” Collection, where the vintage remix master takes on the classic down vest. Exclusively available at Maxfield in Los Angeles, the two used vintage military garments, hippie and Americana canvas, as well as lots of smart leather detailing.

Dr. Romanelli will soon be launching the Pharmacy, a new section on their website. The Pharmacy section on their website will consist of a blog and an online store, which is great news. Finally people all around the globe will have access to the Dr. Romanelli collection. Keep your eyes open for the launch.

When we previewed first images of the Huf x Dr. Romanelli collaboration we liked the results a lot, but it was nothing out of the ordinary, or at least something expected from two strong partners. Today we see the complete range of this collaboration and we are very impressed, as the collection is much larger than we expected it to be.

The collection consists of Dr. Romanelli one off jackets, handmade winter boots, fur caps, down vests, skate decks and t-shirts – all pieces reflect the outdoors/hunting theme perfectly and all design is on point. The details are very impressive, including multiple patches on each jacket, as well as great designs on all t-shirts and skate decks.

We have shown you several teasers of the upcoming Huf x Dr. Romanelli “The Hunting Club” collection over the past couple of weeks. Today we can finally show you some product shots of a couple of the pieces that are part of the collection.

Dr. Romanelli’s expertise has been well used on this outdoors inspired collection and it might actually be the most interesting line to come from him so far. Plaid patterns, corduroy, camouflage and fur appear on the jackets and vests in the line, which has produced some very solid pieces, that are to a certain degree much more subtle than what we usually see from Dr. Romanelli. It’s a bit like sneaker customization. You want them to look as if they were made by the actual sneaker company – perfect.

Soon we should be able to show you more from the Huf x Dr. Romanelli “The Hunting Club” collection.

As we are getting closer to the release of the Dr. Romanelli x Huf SF collection release, more images of the line surface. Here you get a first small look at the offering of the collaborative collection, which was hunting inspired and will for sure consist of many special pieces, judging from what we have seen prior from both brands.

For the second time this year Dr. Romanelli teams up with Fruition Las Vegas. This time the two are making sure you are outfitted for the colder months. Dr. Romanelli brought his exquisite cutting techniques to the table and vintage store Fruition once again did an excellent job sourcing materials for the collection.

The outcome is a series of one-off down vests, mostly featuring vintage Coca-Cola branding. Each piece looks different and interesting by itself.

Dr. Romanelli got together with Nike Mexico on a crossover piece. The artist/designer worked on a classic Nike windrunner and gave it his usual treatment, involving high quality leathers and many little details.

The Dr. Romanelli Vs. Nike Sportswear jacket is an exclusive to the Nike Sportswear 1902 store in Mexico City.
