A rare chance to scoop a pair of DVS sample sneakers. The Defgrip x DVS shoe auction features a sample of a Carson model developed by Defgrip. The collaboration is still on, but the base model has changed, making these all the more special. Proceeds go to aiding BMXer Mike Aitken and his family following a traumatic injury.

Keith Hufnagel’s signature line from DVS is certainly pushes the companies profile. One of the best in the set is the Huf 5 Runner. The model references Huf’s interest in classic sneakers, an obvious one given his ownership of a rather prominent boutique. Through skating Huf became familiar with Mighty Healthy’s Ray Mate. Friends since Huf’s New York childhood, the collaborative effort between DVS and Mighty Healthy is a natural. An already great shoe gets a minor face lift in this black and red color scheme. Suede, leather and 3M all fit in the mix. A quality release.

Long time friends Keith Hufnagel and Ray Mate from Mighty Healthy NYC got together with DVS to work on a line of clothing and sneakers. The line consists of several apparel pieces including a reversible grey and black vest, branded T-shirts, as well as two custom colorized shoe designs—the Huf 5 Runner and the Huf 5 mid. The color scheme used in the line, according to Mate, was inspired by the colors of Xavier High School—a Jesuit school located in the Chelsea Neighborhood in Manhattan that Huf attended growing up. The product begins shipping in early November and can be found in select skate shops throughout the world.

On a side note, the interview also mentions that Huf is opening a retail outlet in Tokyo, Japan, this year. Seems like we still have to look out for that.

Livestock is involved in several collaborative sneaker projects this year. Earlier this year we presented to you the eS x Livestock x The Hundreds sneaker project. Also Livestock will have their own shoe in the Adidas aZX range, coming later this year. Here we present you their collaboration with DVS on the Rico.
Together they created two styles of the Rico – a black waxed cotton colorway and a white semi patten leather colorway. Livestock will be releasing them this coming Saturday, August 30th, both in their stores and online. 
The Livestock x DVS Rico’s are very clean and subtle – solid every day sneakers.

As part of their Original Intent series DVS presents once again two models in collaboration with Huf. We just gave you a couple of days ago a Spring ‘09 preview.
Here now the two models for Fall ‘08 – the Huf 5 Runner in black/purple and the Huf 5 Mid in black/orange. Both probably some of the more exciting models we have seen in this series.

We also passed by the DVS booth at Bright today. As usual the Keith Hufnagel signature models are among the most interesting. We give you a preview of what there is to come for Spring 2009.

Not for the first time Diamond Supply Co. teams up with DVS Shoes (see here forthe previous collaboration ). Today we give you a first look at the upcoming work they did on the Dayton. It comes in the "Gucci" colors. The upper features perforated leather as well as premium leathers and suede. The tongue features a Diamond Supply Co. logo tag. The Diamond logo also appears on a rubber tag on the heel.
According to CtotheJL these will be coming out in the near future as part of a pack, that also includes a New Era cap and a jacket.

Reminiscent of the Nike Orca Pack from a few years back, the new white/black version of DVS’ Huf runner comes from the brands premium original intent line. A splash of lime adds a bit of edge, and extra padding bulk up the shoe for training. The tumbled leather on the toe box and heal is as nice touch as well. (via complex). 

DVS announces the second Photographer Series. Highlighted is the work of Michael Burnett, Skin Phillips, J. Grant Brittain and Dave Swift. Each of them added their terrific skateboard driven work to a shoe from the DVS collection. Burnett’s approach on the Gavin Classic is the most direct. The other three allow their flicks to speak from the insoles.

Over the years, Keith Hufnagel’s relationship with DVS has produced some real quality. The Huf runner is one of the best skate/casual models, and the HUF 5 is another strong skate shoe from the range. The new looks, capturing the silhouettes in black and purple have a mix of material and a positive play on the elephant print.  (via crooked tongues)
