After initially previewing the Raf Simons for Eastpak Spring/Summer 2009 collection earlier this week, we can show you today some more pieces from the line, as it has arrived at Oki-Ni. We have to say it once again, this is by far the best collection to come from this collaboration. In this release you find some nice shoulder bags and backpacks.

For the third time Eastpak and fashion designer Raf Simons are getting together on a collaborative capsule collection. Today we give you a first look at their Spring/Summer 2009 collection.

The (SS09) line features silhouettes inspired by classic travel shapes with high quality detailing and innovative combinations of fabrics and trims such as full grain leather in natural and metallic finishes offsetting canvas or mesh. All hardware is metal which maintains an edgy style as well as the high quality feel of the bags. The collection comprises 19 pieces, ranging in price from 140 Euros to 340 Euros.

The seven styles across three fabrics and six colourways will be available worldwide from February 2009.

A couple of weeks ago we showed you a backpack coming out of the Eastpak collaboration collection with London’s Eley Kishimoto. There is more to the line though, and here we present you the missing pieces.

Similar in quality to the Raf Simons collaboration, but with a more graphical approach, the line presents a technical backpack in black and white, next to the three daypacks. Also there is a messenger bag. The collection will be officially released in January 2009, at End among other premium retailers.

We have seen the design on helmets, Bearbricks, sneakers and now the London based Eley Kishimoto worked with Eastpak on a backpack collection. The backpack comes in three colorways, featuring the already iconic all-over print. The backpacks will be released soon at Beams.

We gave you a first look at the Raf Simons For Eastpak Spring 2009 collection during the last Bread & Butter tradeshow in Barcelona in July. Here we can show you now some nice images of what there is to come. 
One again the collection takes a completely different direction. The very first one was very sporty and consisted of colorful large scale backpacks. The current collection, for Fall/Winter 2008, is darker and has a subtle wrinkled look. The one for Spring 2009 takes a more luxurious approach and for the first time leather is being used on the bags more heavily. Via The Moment.

Japanese brand Sophnet will be celebrating their 10th anniversary this year. For the occasion they have of course aligned some special products. 
The line-up consists of an Eastpak collaboration on their classic backpack. It comes in a black nylon/beige suede version. With Danner they worked on the Danner Light boots. They come in a beige colorway with red laces, making a nice accent. Via Honeyee.
The Sophnet 10th anniversary collection will be released 2nd of August.

 
Another Eastpak showcase from BBB Barcelona. Raf Simons for Eastpak Spring 2009 is being previewed. The line, which takes a touch of a departure from the last with their take on a mesh material against backpacks and duffles. No doubt this relationship will continue to output successful collections.

Eastpak is showcasing a variety of collaborations at Bread and Butter Barcelona. We’ll start by previewing the Spring 2009 Eley Kishimoto collaboration which takes the hounds tooth pattern into a cowlick style swirl across blues, reds, and blacks. A very nice look for the coming spring.

Following the massive success of their first bag line collaboration with Belgian designer Raf Simons for S/S 08 (in select stores worldwide if not sold out), Eastpak now previews their fall/winter 2008 Raf Simons for Eastpak line. The fall/winter offering " fuse[s] the feeling and personality elements of both brands into an accessible and edgy range, ready for the street. The Raf Simons for Eastpak lines keeps with a colorway boundary of grey and navy while using wools, check prints, and patch detailings to give them their own select looks. A variety of bags are available including a Kitbag, Padded, Flap shoulderbag, and duffel. Except the line to drop in select outlets worldwide sometime in September.

We have already presented you the initial Eastpak x Raf Simons Spring/Summer ‘08 collection. It was the first collaborative collection between the two and it was experimental and certainly different from anything that we have seen so far from Eastpak, which made it so interesting. Large sizes, lots of colors, unfamiliar shapes were the characteristics of the collection.
Here we give you now a preview of the upcoming Fall/Winter ‘08 collection of the collaboration. It looks like they calmed down a bit and present a much simpler range. We are not sure if we should be sad or happy. The line consists of different kinds of bags coming in a warm wool material for the colder months and cotton patches with prints have been applied to them.
These products will not come out for another couple of months, just a heads up for what there is to come!
