Legendary workwear label Carhartt unveils their Fall/Winter 2009 Streetwear line. Established in 1889 by Hamilton Carhartt, the brand offered rugged construction, innovative design and exceptional standards of quality, durability and comfort for skilled trade workers. In 1997, the first selection of European specific pieces were added to the regular collection marking a more street-focused look. Today, Carhartt is known for its work with recognised artists and strong presence in many different subcultures, while sticking to the core ideas established over 120 years ago. Having remained somewhat behind-the-scenes working with brands such as Supreme, Undefeated and Silly Thing, Eric “Adorn” Elms vaults himself into the spotlight with a signature pair of Vans. Marking an entirely new Vans style, the Elms come in tonal green, black or maroon with a mix of suede and canvas uppers. Most of you should know that Vans has just released the “Off The Wall” book. For the occasion they are hosting a friendly competition for the best “Off The Wall” logo. Some great artists participated, including Taka Hayashi, Eric Elms, Parra, Steve Caballero, Dennis McNett, Geoff Rowley, Michael Sieben and many more. With the release of the Asics x Patta Gel Lyte Speed Pack only days away, we present you the complete package today. There are not only three sneakers with matching jackets, but also matching backpacks. The participating artists Eric Elms, Parra and Delta put their designs onto the sneaker insoles and the linings of the jackets. We are not sure if there is also some design on the backbacks, for now it does not look like it.

The sneakers are limited to 100 pairs per design, each coming with a backpack. The jacket is limited to 30 pieces per design and is sold separately. The release takes place at Patta on January 31rst.

A couple of years ago Amsterdam based store Patta put Asics back onto the sneaker map with their collaboration. Today we present you their upcoming collaboration project with Asics and three of the most respected artists in this culture – Eric Elms, Delta and Parra.

They worked on the Gel Lytespeed with Asics in three colorways on the exterior. The influence and work of the respective artists only becomes apparent when looking at the interior of the sneakers. The Delta sneaker comes in black, the Elms sneaker in purple and the Parra sneaker in red.

They once again managed to create a fantastic line-up of sneakers. Nothing too heady on the exterior, but strong color combinations with all the details on the interior. The white mid sole gives the sneakers a clean finish. You can be sure that these will be gone fast.

Additional goodies coming along with the pack, as well as other retailers that will be getting it, will be announced soon. The pack will be released at Patta on January 31rst.

Eric Elms has been involved in some of the most fascinating and impressive projects in recent years, concerning our small culture, and for that we respect him a lot. Recently the artist/designer has relaunched his website, which finally displays all the impressive work that he has contributed.

A couple of weeks ago we reported about the re-opening of the Stussy Harajuku Chapter Store, after it had gone through renovations for a while. Here we present you now the t-shirts that were released for the occasion.

Stussy got together with artists Reas and Eric Elms, as well as Undefeated, to collaborate on t-shirts for the re-opening.

After recently giving you a first look at the upcoming special products of the Colette x Gap concept store, that will be opening its doors on September 6th in New York City, we show you today the Paris x New York City artist series t-shirts that were made for the occasion.
Colette and Gap have invited artists from both Paris and New York to design t-shirts for the pop-up store. Each t-shirt is designed by one Parisian artist and one New York artist together – a group of Paris-based artists have come up with design concepts that a group of New York artists completed. The line-up includes t-shirts by Artus x Peter Arkle, Miss Tic x Claw Money, Jean-Philippe Delhomme x Ruben, Thomas Lelu x Tobias Wong, Genevieve Gauckler x Eric Elms (here above) and Andre x Neckface (here above).

Recently we posted a feature interview with Omar Quiambao, the man behind the Commonwealth stores and most recently also the new Stussy Chapter Store Washington DC.
If you had a good look at the store interior, you might have realized that some great artwork and sculptures are featured in the shop. Eric Elms was commissioned to create all the sculptures for the store and quite expected, they turned out great.

As part of their Fall/Winter 2008 collection, Carhartt got together with Eric Elms. The New York based artist/designer created a series of graphics, which appear on Carhartt t-shirts and hoodies in the new collection.
