Estate LA continues their collaboration with Leroy Jenkins. As usual they sources some vintage fabrics for an upcoming series of caps. All in all two new caps will be released soon, featuring the Leroy Jenkins logo as a 3D embroidery on the front, just like we have seen before on their collaborative caps.

Here is a preview of an upcoming Estate LA x Diamond Supply Co. cap. It comes in a black/white/orange colorway with orange Diamond logo embroidery on the front panels. The caps are handmade in LA, adding a certain quality stamp to the product.

Known primarily for fitted caps, Estate LA’s most recent release returns to the one size fits all model of the snap back. Checkboard fabric, in three color options, forms the base of the design. The Estate logo "E" proudly embroidered up front.

Hats, no doubt, are one of the most prominent fixtures in the streetwear universe. Like the t-shirt, caps find their way to most every line sheet and offer simple canvas for brand identity formation. While several types garner respect (from the mesh backed trucker to the 5-panel) the fitted is king. For style and comfort, hard to beat. Also, for shear availability of design space, its the most versatile.

With firm connection to baseball, the fitted hat also screams AMERICA. Not literally, obviously, but there is that undeniable connection. And so, the fitted hat serves as a great entry point for discussing a wonderful rising trend in the industry. Locally made product. Against the tide of globalization, some brands take pride in assuring that their goods are hand and American made, a throwback to traditional manufacture.

Being interested in both hats and American made things, I caught up with Brett Wiley from Estate LA. Estate makes fitted caps in Los Angeles, CA and works with some of the bigger names in action sports (as well as a few of your favorite streetwear brands). Brett and I discussed hats (no surprise), brand building and NASCAR. He was nice enough to allow me to fulfill a dream of conducting an interview via instant messenger. Along with the rest of the Estate crew, we began to answer some of my questions.

Estate LA will of course also not let the opportunity of bringing out an Olympic themed cap pass. We give you a first look at their upcoming "Chinese Lucky Cat" cap. The animal toy is featured on the front panels of the cap, which otherwise got an all-over chop stick treatment.
The cap will be released on the 8th of August.

Fitted Hawaii got together with Estate LA to create an indigo denim fitted cap, onceagain repping Hawaii. 
On the 2 front panels is “Hawaii” stitched in white, resting on the outer sides of the brim are white stitching of leaves, akin to gold leaves you’d see on military officer’s caps. The underside of the brim is green, the top button is orange and features green eyelets. The back sees orange stitched FITTED crest and the left side sees a white stitched FITTED crest. They’ve also added an Orange rope to finish it off.
The cap is limited to 100 pieces.

Estate LA is fast become expert at fitting caps to seasons. This summer they come withtwo madras hats, one in a bright orange (traditional) and one in black (more untraditional for the fabric). Lightweight, and one may presume breathable. They also show they’ve got love for Atlanta. Crossing swords to make the "A," the Estate crew creates a great alternative to the classic Braves logo.

Preparing the fitted for winter climates and pursuits was the task for Estate LA when they created the MTN Ops Type 1 cap. Utilizing a trio of fabrics – goretex windstopper pro, goretext xcr ripstop and sherpa pile fleece – the cap keeps the wearer warm and dry. One may also imagine that the ripstop keeps you flowing when yourgoing through tree filled terrain. The cap is limited to 24 and is the first release edition hat from MTNOPS. 

Estate LA recently opened their flagship store in Venice Beach. With that they also released a series of new caps that we present you here. They kept it classic and present a series of canvas caps with large logo 3D embroideries going over the side.
