It seems to be the latest trend in music to release fresh music on a weekly basis. The latest one to join in is Swizz Beatz, who will be dropping new tunes on Mondays over at BasquiatMusic.com. The first track features Estelle and is entitled “DJ Play The Beat”.

The latest chapter of the initiative features collaborations with NERD, Estelle, Yoko Ono, Dita Von Teese, Katy Perry and many others. Some of the biggest celebrities from the world of fashion, music and style will be joining H&M and Designers Against AIDS (DAA) for Fashion Against AIDS, to help fight the disease and raise youth awareness. Katy Perry, Dita Von Teese, N.E.R.D, Estelle and Yoko Ono are among the artists who will collaborate with H&M on designs for T-shirts, T-shirt dresses, vests and bodies. 25% of the sales price will be donated to youth HIV/AIDS awareness projects. The collection, in 100% organic cotton, for both guys and girls will go on sale in H&M’s youth DIVIDED department from May 28 2009.

Estelle has come along way since "1980," was released. Remembering youth, Estelle proved an able flow but only limited charisma. Despite strong mixtape slots and dub plate specials, official recordings failed to give an inkling that she  might one day rise to the top ranks of British Female MCs. No question, the hand of Kanye West and his right hand man John Legend (who actually signed her) have been instrumental in increasing Estelle’s profile and making her sound more universal.

"Come Over", with John Legend is a great example. Not as catchy as "American Boy," the track does allow Estelle room to showcase her vocal range and give off a little Caribbean Charm. To paraphrase another London spitter, she ain’t done to bad.

Look out for Estelle performing live at halftime of the MLS All-Star Game. It may well be the highlight of the match.
